AMIRA’S POV

Information ceremony.
It was the first day that Amira was asked to join create a helpful vaccine. she went to her dorm And unpacked, not long later she was asked to go to the information ceremony. She quickly got fully dressed in a black silky tight dress. her hair tied up in a bun. she walked out devoted and ready for anything that would come her way.

little did she know her feelings would be coming her way. she was sipping her wine and waiting to be called to make her speech.

she had practiced this speech over and over again.

while waiting she began to think about Shireen and what she might be doing right now. she was called to make her speech, and she walked up to the podium and started to talk:

"I have been chosen today to work on something that will change the world and save many lives. it's such an honor to be here and present the opening ceremony. tonight I will present to you the plans to Achieve greatness and a powerful cure for the E-41 blood infection. greatness is infinite."

"thank you."

as Amira walked back to her table, a long and handsome redhead walked up to her. "that was amazing he said." with a huge grin on his face, "how did you pull that off?"

the mysterious guy said. and who might you be kind sir? Amira said. "Just your normal guy that studies science and is the biggest geek you will ever see"
he said with a giggle at the end.

it made amira chuckle a bit too. what do you do for a living he said. I am a science teacher at Howard's high school amira answered. oh, that's funny cus went to high school there."ooh, that's nice" Amira said  went south real quick with this guy and awkward. Ronny tried desperately to lighten the mood and show that he had an interest in amira so what he did next was the most cheesy thing he has done in his life but surely to never forget  “Are you a parking ticket? Because you’ve got FINE written all over you.” she instantly shoots her eyes wide open with shock written all over her face. Ronny instantly regretted every word he said this evening and left with embarrassment and humiliation and self-hatred. Amira was laughing under her breath.

after the ceremony ended Ronny and Amira were paired up to clean the tables and disinfect critical areas in the building. when they were paired up it was of most importance that Amira and Ronny did their job as efficiently as possible. something amira did not want to admit she was kind of looking forward to working with the red-headed geek. they were almost done when Ronny decided to make another move.“Feel my shirt. Know what it’s made of? Boyfriend material. with that statement, Ronnies face went pink.

but decided to still try and make it work and made his once again “I think there’s something wrong with my phone. Your number’s not in it.” regretted it once again and worked in silence until amira said something: nice try geek but I'm taken, she said that in a low voice loud enough for Ronny only to hear.

but I'll give u the credit, you did make me laugh with that Amira left with a wide smirk on her face. leaving Ronny flabbergasted.
