I walk with the guards without resistant. Hands chained behind my back and a bag over my head cutting of my vision. There was really no point in trying anything against the armed soldiers who already had beaten me ones.

I follow them through the corridors and try to get as many impressions as I can without my vision. Finding as many voices, smells and sounds as I can detect. A door squeaks as it's pushed open and we walk maybe twenty meters before stopping.
My feed hurt and so do my stomach that still bleeds from the blade cut one of the guards gave me.

"Is that her?" A male voice asks. Calm but still curious. "Well, well how lucky can I be." I hear his steps against the floor as he gets closer to me. "The great Medusa. Hunted down as a simple animal." I flinch at his words but keeps my mouth shut. I know who he is. King Midas of Phrygia, the desert land where I've been hiding the last months. His voice seems younger than I expected him to be but just as playful as I overheard people describe him. He takes a few steps and suddenly I feel his breath in front of me. "What a shame that I can't let you live," his hands touch my neck before I can react to his words. A tickling feeling spread from were his skin met mine. The golden touch who have turned many of his enemies into pure gold. I prepare myself to let it consume me but it stops as quickly as it began.

"I..." the king mumbles. "What's happening sir?" Someone asks. Most likely one of the guards. They sound as confused as I am myself. "Look away from her" Midas say in a commanding voice, applying to the men standing besides me. "Sir I-" "unless you wanna turn into stone," he added. I quickly close my eyes when I feel the fabric that have been over my head getting slowly removed.

One of the snakes that makes up my hair bites after him, but he just chuckles. Without saying anything I try to make them calm down. "Why are you eyes closed love?" He ask. There's something mockingly in his tone. "I don't want to hurt you," I say with fake confident. The snakes hisses at him as he place a hand gentle on my chin. His touch is warm and again that tickling feeling grow from his fingers but disappears soon after. "I just tried tp kill you. Why would you not want to hurt me?" His words just make me cringe my eyes harder together. Why don't I wanna hurt him? I'm not really sure of it. It would only be a advantage for me. And it's not like he doesn't deserve it. I know that he have murdered countless men. Should I just...?

"Open your eyes dear." I do as he says. First looking down but his hand at my chin leads me up to meet his gaze. His eyes are green. Really clear green. When I meet them he flinch as if he was in pain. Oh no. What have I done? He walks a few steps back and press a hand against his forehead. For a second I would swear his eyes turned grey. But then the smirk is back on his lips and he looks completely unaffected. I frown. How is that possible?

Midas draw his sword and I take a step back but is stopped by the gaurds that stands on each side of me - both with their eyes closed. I look around. I'm in what appears to be the throne room. Theres noone here but us and the golden statues of the kings victims that stand on lines on both sides. Having my vision back is a big advantage but is it enough to escape? My hands are still chained and I'm wounded. Even though the gaurds couldn't do anything without risking becoming statues, I still wouldn't have a chance against Midas. I looked at the king. He was young, not much older than me. All covered in black and golden clothing and with a golden crown around his head.

He raises his sword but not anywhere near me. Instead he cut of a piece of facbric from his cloak before putting the sword back in the sheath. "Can't have you killing my soldiers" he says while walking close to me again. His tone is soft. He uses the piece of cloths to blindfold me and I let him do it without opposition. "Take her to the room on the vest wing" he command, his voice more harsh and monotone. He doesn't say more as the guards leads ne out of the hall.
