Y/n POV!! ↵
I looked up at Miles from where I was sitting. I wanted to watch him bleed then kiss him hard. He narrowed his eyes at me, "What?" I asked, hoping he couldn't read minds. "Follow me." He didn't give me an option though, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me across the field. We stopped at the stables and Miles brought out a black horse. He put a saddle on the horse and gestured for me to get on. I hesitated, what was he going to do? He rolled his eyes and yanked me over. I bit my lip as he put his hands tightly around my waist and practically threw me onto the horse. I clung to the reigns for support. Miles hooked a separate rope to the saddle and led it to an area next to the stable. It was a large dirt circle with some grass in the middle. I wasn't wearing shorts under my dress so I tried to keep it down as the horse trotted to the circle. Miles stood in the middle and led the horse around the circle. I stared at him. He had an expression on his face that I couldn't place. He looked, dead. He looked up at me and had his mouth slightly open, as usual. I looked at him, what was he going to do? We just stared at each other for a long time. I just went around in circles for hours. Miles stood there, same expression, through the whole thing. I think he could've done it till I died but, Flora ran out to tell us it was time for dinner. Miles led the horse back to the stable, with me still on it. When we got there, I expected to get off by myself but, Miles stuck a hand out for me. I took it and the memory from last night came back to me. 'My chaotic queen.' He called me. Was that Miles way of saying he likes me? He didn't seem like the love at first sight kind of person. He took the saddle off and led the horse back into its stable. I waited for him, to be polite. When he came back out, he only shot me a confused glance before looking down. I smiled a little and grabbed his hand. He pulled it away quickly and put it into his pocket. I looked over at him, he didn't have any expression. Just blank, staring ahead. What was he thinking? I looked back forward and placed my hands behind my waist. "Miles?" I said, what was I going to say? He didn't say anything, just kept walking. "Do you walk in my room at night? Or when I'm not there or conscious in general? Do you look through my keyhole?" That was not what I wanted to say, or know. He stayed silent and opened the door for himself, closing it on me. I rolled my eyes as I heard the lock click. I walked around to the front and knocked on the door. Miles came and answered it. He let me in like he hadn't just locked me out in the back. I shook my head and followed him to the kitchen. He pulled out a chair for me and I sat down. He then sat down next to me.
Kate sat in front of me and Flora in front of Miles. There was chicken on the table in front of us. We all started to eat and Kate tried to start a conversation. "You two looked cute together today." Miles angrily slammed his fork down and stood up, leaving the kitchen with his knife in hand. Flora issued a few giggles. I looked down and fumbled with my fork. Kate was staring at Miles empty seat in shock. I ate my chicken with a grin on my face. There was nothing to grin about, I just couldn't help it. Flora would whisper and Kate finally continued to eat. "So, what did you talk about?" She tried to ask me. "Nothing, we didn't talk." I answered joyfully. She looked confused. The floorboards were creaking above us. Flora stared at the ceiling for a minute or two before Kate reminded her to eat her dinner. I finished my dinner and was going to take it to the sink when Kate asked if I would take Miles food up to him. "I'll get your dish, I just don't want him to not have dinner." She added. I don't think I had ever seen Miles eat. I nodded and took his plate, walking upstairs with a spring in my step. I knocked on Miles door and waited a minute. He finally came and answered it when I was about to leave. He stood there, a blank expression. "I brought you dinner." I smiled warmly, showing him the plate. He took it and I stuck my foot in his door as he was closing it. He opened it, an annoyed expression on his face. I grabbed his collar and placed a kiss on his cheek. He didn't object but he did slam his foot onto mine after. I stumbled back but managed a wink, grinning the whole time. He shut his door and I walked down the hall to my room. Miles room was a few doors away from Flora's, the other room seemed to be unoccupied. I opened my door and walked into my room. I shut the door and tears steamed down my face, smile and all. I walked to the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. I started to laugh without warning. There I was, in my dark bathroom, staring at myself crying and laughing hysterically. If Miles could see me now, he'd probably 'get off' to the image later. I slowly stripped and turned the faucet on. I turned it on as hot as I could get it, steam filling the room quickly. I could barley breathe as I got into the shower. The water stung my skin, cold at first then the pain coming to me all at once. I was still crying and my laughs were getting worse. My chest felt heavy as I washed myself. (awkward writer check) I burned my hand on the faucet as my head became dizzy. I was gasping for air between laughs now, my vision closing in. I felt hot and I had a horrible headache. I suddenly fell onto the floor and out of consciousness.I woke up in my bed, fully dressed, again. My hair was brushed and put into two careful braids. "Bravo." I looked over at Miles who was seated on the chair to my vanity. "Did you dress me and do my hair?" I asked, feeling insecure and turned on. My laughs returned. I covered my mouth with both hands and plugged my nose, suffocating myself. I tried to stop my laughs but instead, I almost passed out again. I saw Miles smile a little at the sight of me suffocating myself. "Flora." I looked up, my laughs slowly fading away. "Wh-What?" I spoke through my last laugh. "Flora did it. She did your hair and dressed you." Holy shit, I'm Flora's newest doll. No, I'm not. Miles just didn't want to invade my privacy like that. Why? He didn't care. Why was he in here? To make sure I was okay? To make sure I wasn't okay? "Why are you here?" I asked sitting up, my head throbbing. "I wanted to see if you would wake up. That was quite the suicide attempt." I furrowed my eyebrows. "It wasn't a suicide attempt." I told him. "I'm sure it wasn't darling." Miles stood up to leave. "Miles, wait." I stopped him. I was going to ask if he wandered in my room while I was asleep. "Did you eat your dinner?" Miles turned with that blank expression. I stood up, I was wearing an expensive black nightgown. I walked over to him. He just stared down at me. "Did you eat dinner?" I straightened his jacket. "I'm not hungry." I grabbed his jaw and pulled him down so we were the same height. "You're going to eat dinner Miles. If you don't, I will cut your tongue out and feed it to the horses." I kissed him temple and let him go. He had a small smirk on his lips. He didn't do anything this time, he just went to his room. I stood there, mortified by my own words. I shakily got back into bed. Then started to smile again. I laid my head onto my pillow and forced myself into sleep.
I woke up the next morning as golden sunlight peeked into the house. I dressed close to how I did yesterday. I went to take my medication then remembered that I didn't have any. I just brushed my hair and went downstairs for breakfast. Miles was sitting by himself. I walked over and kissed his head, earning a shin kick from him. I tugged some of his curls back in response, hitting his head on the back of his chair. He watched me grab a piece of stale bread again. "What are you doing today Miles?" I sat down next to him. He stayed silent. I took a bite of my bread, one of my hands resting on the table. I felt Miles hand cup mine forcefully, "Miles, what the hell?"
