Chapter 3 - 'L'anima oscura

Although not yet in the club, I could already hear the loud music, thumping through my ears coming from inside. It was 10:00pm so the club had been open for a couple of hours but we didn't want to be the first ones here. Regrettably this decision had us waiting in a very long line filled with girls in dresses going up to their asses, and guys who's testosterone I could smell from here as they laughed and huddled together like a pack of poorly trained dogs.

"Oh my god I am so excited! I can't wait to get in there and wash away all my problems with extremely over priced jäger bombs", Kayla was always the extrovert and the only problems she had was with picking guys who aren't good enough for her, and assignments that she struggles to hand in on time.

I was a little nervous before we got here, but now seeing how excited Kayla was and with the music getting louder as the distance between us and the club started to get smaller, I was actually starting to get excited too.

"Ok I am a little excited" smiling back at her to show her how much I appreciated her. She was my best friend and she made me enjoy life a lot more.

As we were chatting we started to hear a commotion from the people who we were in line with and so we looked up, following everyone's heads to see what they were looking at. Some extremely expensive black car pulled up outside the club. The driver came out from the car and opened up the passenger door. Behind the door revealed a man in, what looked like, an extremely expensive black suite that was made just for him, complemented with a pair of shiny black leather boots. His dark brown hair complementing perfectly with his dark brown eyes. He was tall, broad and devilishly handsome. There was something about him that was so familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it.

"Oh, my god. That's the guy from the cafe" Kayla said, grinning so hard at me right now.
I looked at her seeing that she was in disbelief, reflecting my own disbelief. She was right. What was he doing here? He must be some sort of celebrity. But that made no sense since the only time I'd ever seen him was at the cafe when I clumsily bumped into him, almost humiliating myself. I was starting to remember how he held my waist firmly as he caught me whilst falling, catching my eyes in his golden brown ones.

I hadn't realised but whilst I was reliving my sensual interpretation of the memory, I was staring right at him, and shockingly he stared right back as if he was looking into my soul.

Kayla knocked my arm, "Aurora he's staring right at you". Yeh no shit Kayla I was doing the same thing.

He broke our eye contact and walked over to the bouncer outside the club. I couldn't hear what he was saying to him because we were still too far away from the door. But as he was talking, his eyes were travelling back and forth between the bouncer and me. Was he talking about me? What am I talking about he doesn't even know I exist.

"Stop staring you creep"

Shit Kayla was right. That was a little creepy. But I couldn't help it.

Just as he entered the club, the bouncer started to walk along the outside of the long line. Why was he looking right at us? Ok now he's coming right towards us. He suddenly stopped directly in front of me, lifted up the rope the was leading to the club holding us captive. He nodded his head, directing us to step under it. Me and Kayla complied, now standing directly in front of the bouncer in confusion.

"My boss is allowing you two vip access into the club. No more waiting in the line. Follow me"

"What the fuck!" Kayla clung onto my arm, whispering loudly in my ear. We were both giggling and smiling, but still confused as to what the fuck was going on. Even so, we followed the bouncer to the club doors. He lifted up and the red roped gate and me and Kayla did not hesitate to enter the gates of l'anima oscura.
