7. Kidnapped

I woke up to searing pain flashing all through my body. My arms were tied behind my back and I was slumped over. I opened my eyes, my lap was covered in blood. I could feel that the bleeding had mostly stopped on my face but it had done enough to completely wreck my clothes.

That was when I heard voices. The first higher pitched and the second on deep and gravelly.

"You didn't have to pummel her like that"

"She ran, I stopped her."

"The boss won't like that."

"The boss won't like the fact that we're betraying him either"

"Shhh"

The first voice hushed the second.

"She's awake"

There was a second male demon there I didn't recognize. He had a darker complexion, short white dreads and piercing green eyes. He crouched down in front of me and I kept my head hanging so I didn't have to look at either of them.

Against my wishes, the white haired demon used his claw under my chin to lift my face up.

"Ooo she's a pretty one. I can see why Muzan took a liking-"

"SHUT IT"

The yellow eyed demon demanded.

"Why not just spoil everything"

Muzan? What about Muzan...was he involved in this?

"What about Muzan"

I wanted to know what he had to do with this and why I was here.

"Great now she's asking questions"

The yellow eyed demon paused.

"just keep your mouth shut and we might keep you alive."

I decided talking really wouldn't do me much good in this situation so I did what I was told.

The yellow eyed demon walked towards me and sat down cross legged.

"look at me"

I didn't listen.

The demon grabbed my face and I whimpered as his fingers gripped the fresh wounds on my
face.

He laughed at my pain.

"Humans are so frail. Why would he pick you?...."

Pick me? What did he mean pick me?

"you know he's been obsessed with protecting you since you were small"

"what?"

What did he mean.

"Have you ever felt like someone was watching you? That something was out there watching out for you?"

I nodded slowly. I had felt that someone was watching me.

"Well anyway, as the demon king you can't have such a vulnerable weakness that people can exploit. If we had that sort of intent we could have killed you by now"

"Why haven't you then"

I asked bitterly.
