- That's it? - I asked the woman, who just registered our marriage, in English.

- Yeh, that's it. - she smiled brightly as she pulled towards herself the paper that both Suzy and I had voluntarily, happily , and excitingly signed, as well as, left our red fingerprint on. Her German accent made her even more friendly.

Elias, the artistic man that Suzy has been friends with for more than a decade also chuckled at me, along with Choi Suzy herself.

- Don't act like this is your first time getting married. - she nudged me in the arm after teasing me with those words.

I leaned in and whispered in her ear as if people around us could speak Korean, or they could actually understand if they heard us:

- Last time I signed the marriage paper, it was in the middle of my breakfast.

When I signed the hell contract with Han Jin Ho, my mother shoved the paper in my face in the middle of my meal, and just like a robot that has been programmed for a particular purpose, I signed it without a blink of an eye, or a thought on my mind. Because I thought there was no point running away from that as it was what I was born into and was bound to do. The people around me, ever since I could acknowledge what it takes to be a chaebol, they literally made me feel like being married to Han Jin Ho was the one and only purpose of my existence, as if my mission in this entire life was just to become Hyowon's daughter-in-law. Thus, I signed it as she wished so I could carry on with my meal in peace.

Choi Suzy grabbed my chin before I could pull away from her. She softly smiled as she looked into my eyes.

- But this time is different right? Because you were so nervous about this moment that you skipped both breakfast and lunch.

- Uhm. - I smiled, my eyes wrinkled to the point I couldn't see anything anymore.

I was that happy to be her wife. Goddammit, what a dream!

She let go of my chin and turned over to thank Elias for being our witness. The tall man looked so lonely and dignified in his navy suit. He softly smiled, gave her a hug and told her "Weil du glücklich bist, bin ich glücklich. Sei glücklich, meine Liebe."

"Because you are happy, I am happy. Be happy, my love."

The moment he showed up, he had already decided to end his feelings for Suzy right there and then. To that, I applaud for a gentleman's generosity and bravery.

- Now that you're married, you should tell the people you cherish most, who are not here, so they can share this sacred moment with you. - Elias said in English so I could understand as well, which was very sweet of him.

Choi Suzy and I looked over at each other, we smiled while thinking of the person that was on the top of our mind as soon as we heard those words.

Parted ways with Elias after thanking him once again by paying a fancy lunch for him. We got home with warmth in our hearts. I immediately got my phone out to call someone who forever remains as one of the most important people in my life, and just thinking of her made me so happy, meanwhile Suzy was hesitant by the fact that she kept staring at the number without taking any action, although I was sure she had been thinking about the person ever since the idea was first brought up by Elias.

I put my phone on the table and approached my wife from behind. I slid my hands on her waist and hugged her from the back. After looking over her shoulder to see who the person was, my heart shrank for her immediately. I might not be able to know entirely what was on her mind, but I could totally feel how she was feeling at that moment. Leaned my chin on her shoulder, I placed a delicate kiss on her neck and whispered in her ear:
