Chapter five

 

“Sir, you have an urgent meeting that regards with you and your fiancé” as my secretary  said while watching her wrist watch “the time is… right now sir” as she raised her head and looked at me.

 

What on earth did my parents have done? Arrange marriage at this age of 21? Yack! I do not have any time for my studies and to my work what else to my fiancé?

 

I’d been planning to get rid of my child hood friend and now another one??

 

My secretary was still standing in front of me and I’m looking for some brilliant escape. Until my eyes focused in her lips. I don’t know why but it reminds me of someone.

 

“Ms. Cole, I have an important job for you” I said as I hide my smile.

 

 

 

 

Three hours later the appointment that regards on my fiancé was venue on a five star restaurant. And my family talks too much about her.

 

“Son, what can you tell about your fiancé? Is she beautiful?” as my mom asked and looked at me.

 

Beautiful? According to my vocabulary beautiful means simple. Not like Natalie-my fiancée that is having a thick make up.  I just looked on my plate and play my food.

 

“How could she be late?” I asked myself she’s the only one who can save me from this arrangement. As I raised my head the shadow that came from the door took my attention.

 

 I looked very carefully as my eyes are getting small. A beautiful lady that wears a cocktail dress which is an inch above the knee just showed. She’s not wearing any make up but she’s pretty simple. As she walks all men are turn their heads just to see her.

 

She stopped at the middle and looked around. “God, she must not be waiting” my phone rung and I take its call

 

“Hello” I said as I keep watching the beautiful lady.

“Sir, had  she arrive?” as my secretary asked me

 

As she said those words the champagne glass fell on the floor.

 

 

 

Vannesa William POV

 

I received a letter that I must attend an urgent meeting that regards about my family business. I refused to come coz I also have an appointment that deals in Russia. My family ranked on top three most famous families in the world and the world wants to meet us.

 

 But unfortunately I was forced.

 

So here I am at the five star restaurant.  I’m wearing a cocktail dress which is an inch above the knee. I’m not wearing any make up but I noticed that some eyes are watching me.

 

I stopped at the middle looking for a table. They must be here, I looked at my wrist watch and it’s already 6 o’clock. The sound of a broken champagne glass gets my attention, and as I raised my head the man that has been kissing me appeared in front.

 

“I thought you will never come” he said and smiled at me. What on earth is happening? I tried to figure it out so I looked him - eye to eye. I can’t read his face.   

 

“May I?” he takes my hand and placed his arm on my arm as he about to escort me. I’m confused at this state but the smile on my face is still there.

 

We went at the center of this restaurant were a long table is placed. There are two middle aged person and a one young lady who seems as my age that has thick make up.

We stopped in front of them and their eyes seemed shocked of seeing me. The young lady suddenly released tears.
