"Where are you?" Claude repeated, which made me get back to my senses.
"I'm-I'm fine... It's just that."
"Nasaraduhan ako ng dorm," I said and pursed my lips. Malay ko ba kasing may curfew pala. He heaved a deep sigh.
"Then where are you?" He asked, this time in a calm manner.
"Sa convenience store malapit sa dorm," I answered.
"I'll get there," He said. I can even hear his footsteps from the call. Later, I heard him open the door of his car and start the engine.
"I should end this call. Drive safely. Just call me when you're here," I said.
"I could connect the call to the car," He suggested.
"Nah, it's fine. Just focus on the road," I said before ending the call.
While waiting for him I decided to practice my suture, muli kong tinanggal ang pagkakatahi nung ginawa ko kanina at hinanda yung silicone pad at suture kit. I set a timer to see how fast I could do.
I was in the middle of stitching when someone tapped me on the back. I looked at the clock wala pang five minutes, ang bilis naman ata ni Claude?
I smiled as I lifted my head, but it immediately faded when I saw it wasn't Claude. I raised my brow and waited for his words.
"Napansin kasi namin mag-isa ka, baka gusto mo kami samahan," Sabi nung lalake at tinuro pa yung mga kasama niya sa kabilang mesa na kumaway naman.
"No. May hinihintay ako," I replied and got back to my work.
"Ito naman, pabebe pa, nakita ko nga nakangiti ka kanina, gusto pa pinipilit," Sabi niya. I'm starting to feel uncomfortable. Mas lalo akong kinabahan nang bigla niyang iakbay ang kamay sa balikat ko. I can smell a liquor in him.
Agad kong tinanggal ang pagkaka-akbay niya dahilan para ma out of balance siya. I immediately pointed my forceps at him.
"Di ka titigil o itatarak ko 'to sa thyroid mo!" I threatened dahilan para mabigla sila at nagmadaling lumabas. Akala mo talaga alam nila yung thyroid, tss.
Muli kong tinastas yung tahi at nireset yung timer may mga panira kasi. After preparing the needle nagsimula na ulit akong magtatahi, 'di narin naman bumalik yung mga lasing kanina, may guard rin naman na malapit lang saakin at sinabing 'di na raw papapasukin yung mga yun.
Nagpatuloy lang ako sa pagtahi nang maramdaman kong may papalapit saakin.
"Subukan mong lumapit itatarak ko 'tong hawak ko sa leeg mo," I threatened. But for some reason the smell of his perfume is familiar to my senses.
