Preface

It was the afternoon at 4 o’clock when she finally got out of her lessons to drive home…at last! High school had been getting difficult, people talking about her behind her back; she wasn’t stupid she saw how everyone looked at her, like she was nothing. Some people just ignore her for the sake of a laugh…She wasn’t the one laughing. She just wishes she could die, get off this planet everyone including her calls Earth. She stood next to her car in the Brookville Parking lot. She could instantly hear, see people, bullies mostly staring at her, laughing in the distance. Quickly she got in her car, slammed the door and drove out of the Brookville High School. Her birthday is coming up soon, exactly two weeks from today…Friday. She will be turning 17. She still has not gotten use to driving, even though she passed her test a year ago at 16. She was now on the motor-way when she noticed in the corner of her eyes, a lorry. This wasn’t just any lorry at the back of the lorry she saw the word cake, until it magically turned into …DEATH!

She got an instant shiver down the back of her spine. The lorry was right in front of her, to her surprise the lorry got faster, or maybe she was just slowing down. Isn’t this a normal day in England, she thought to herself.  She kept a close eye on the lorry; until shockingly the lorry stopped and turned so all the cars in the 2 lanes could see the side of it. Blocking both lanes she tried to swerve away from it but it was too late. Without warning her car lurched and she was thrown forward violently. The seat belt slicing thought her chest and knocking the air out of her. The sound of screaming and shouting shot in her ears, continued with the raining glass echoing in them. The airbag suddenly sprung out and wacked her in the face. She looked down quickly to see blood, lots of it and her bare arms were covered with broken bits of glass; slicing through her skin. The world starting going pitch black.

Katie got her wish…or so she thought!
