Ever since Sato learned that she has been feeling the emotion, happiness, she began to be more aware of it. She could tell that Akaashi was pleased with it.
While they continue to enjoy their time together like their usual days, it was soon interrupted by a random girl who spoke to Akaashi. "Hey, I noticed you since you entered the cafe and I was wondering if I could get your number?"
When she said that, Sato felt something unpleasant building up inside her. She could not understand what this unpleasant feeling was. She wanted to ask Akaashi about it, but she knew that it was not the time to ask him right now. She decided to ask him later when that random girl leaves, however, she wouldn't leave even though Akaashi refused. "I'm sorry, I can't give you my number."
"Why not? It's not like you have a girlfriend right?" She said as she placed her hand on Akaashi's shoulder.
Akaashi's face turned into annoyance as she just wouldn't get the message. The more she lingered, the more Sato felt unpleasant. It was growing larger and larger each second that she couldn't handle it anymore. She sighed and tried to make her leave. "He already refused. Go away already."
The random girl gave her an annoyed look. "Who are you even to interrupt?"
Sato glanced at Akaashi and saw that he had an amused smile. She glanced back at the girl and replied. "I'm obviously his girlfriend. I will highly appreciate it if you will stop flirting with him."
The stranger scoffed. "You? You are such a bad liar. I could tell that you are not his girlfriend."
The unpleasant feeling grew once again. Before Sato could retort back, Akaashi interfered. "I don't even know who you are and I'm not even interested to know who you are. However, I won't tolerate you talking to my girlfriend like that."
He then turned to Sato with a smile as he grabbed her hands and headed out of the cafe. "Let's go, Amaya."
Sato did not understand, but when he did that and called her by her first name, the unpleasant feeling was replaced with happiness. She unconsciously smiled as she let him drag her out.
They continued to walk hand in hand until they were quite far from the cafe. When Akaashi finally let go of her hand, she felt a sense of lost feeling.
"Boyfriend?" Akaashi turned to look at her with a teasing smile.
Sato felt her face burning up. "Shut up. You called me your girlfriend and my first name as well."
"That's only because you pretended to be my girlfriend. Why did you do that?" Akaashi chuckled with a knowing smile.
Sato, reading his smile, gave him a look. "You look like you know why I did it. Why don't you explain it to me then?"
"No no. Tell me, then I'll explain," he said.
She looked away from his eyes. "I had an unpleasant feeling building up inside me, so I acted on my instinct."
When Akaashi chuckled at her explanation, she glared at him. "What are you laughing about?"
"It's called jealousy. I guess you can also say that you were disgusted in a way," he explained.
"What do you mean jealous?" She asked in confusion.
"You obviously did not like another girl flirting with me," he said.
"So I was jealous? Why will I even be jealous?"
"I don't know. Why don't you try to figure it out?" He said without wiping off his teasing smile.
She could tell that he knew why she felt jealous but left it as it is, knowing he would not tell her anyway.
