I sighed a breath of relief as princess Peach glided gracefully to the carpeted floor, the complete opposite of me and Bowers's landing.

She brushed off her sparkling white dress and we locked eyes, beginning to walk towards each other.

Her veil framed her perfect blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes as she giggled lightly.

I shrugged also starting to laugh.

Cappy suddenly hopped off my head along with his sister, which used to be Peaches tiara.

They grab hands and spun round and round laughing in joy. Cappy then turned to me, saying quick thank you and goodbye, and they were off.

Turning back to the Princess, I made up my mind.

I was going to tell her.

Walking towards Peach I stopped in front of her before kneeling down.

"Pe-" Bowser shoved me roughly out of the way, a bouquet of snapping flowers in his hand.

Horror stretched across my face as I dashed back towards Peach, my own bouquet of moon flowers at the ready.

The large turtle slapped me, causing the princess to gasp in delight.

Wait...was she enjoying having us fight over her?!

Me and Bowser continued elbowing each other, trying to force the other one away from the girl.

The princess backed up, a worried look on her face, as we practically threw the flowers at her.

"Enough!" She shouted pushing the flowers away. "You two are absolute brutes!"

Peach walked between us, leaving us speechless.

I had literally gone to the moon and back for her and I won't even get a simple thanks?

Not to put Bowser to shame either, he STOLE this whole wedding for her and she won't even CONSIDER it? That's just rude.

We were practically staring her down as she walked back down the wedding aisle, practically holding back tears.

I gazed back down at our crumpled flowers Peach had stepped on, picking them up gingerly.

"No. This is a not going to be how this ends." I spoke with determination.

The antagonist glances up at me, a confused look on his face, as well as all the people in the crowd.

"It may not look like it," I spoke, "But Bowser is a pretty nice guy. Look at what he did for Peach."

All of the assortments of people glanced around the room, slowly starting to complement the decor.

"Yeah! Weddings are hella expensive!" A random fork person enthuses.

A small smile graces my face. "They are."

The king of the koopas is now glaring at me. "What are you doing Mario?" He hisses.

"Can't you see I can't take any of your pestering now? Things already got ruined for me. Your job is done."

Grabbing the turtles hand, I pulled him to his feet.

I then gazed out to all the people. "I'm not going to lie, Bowser is not the best guy."

A small spark flicked from the kings mouth in warning. He could put this whole place up in flames, and he wanted me to remember that.

"He still does good things though," I continued. "He's a single father and still makes time for his son."

The crowd stares at the ruler in interest, causing the large dinosaur to growl slightly.

"Mario."

"No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes."I genuinely smile.

Even Peach has stopped walking to listen.

I let go of Bowsers hand and kneel down, holding up the flowers.

"I would be honored to be his husband, if he lets me."

He stares at the messy mix of red and white flowers taken aback.

The crowd gasps.

"You.." He stutters, a soft glow burning on his dog-like cheeks. "This has to be some sick joke..."

"Only the truth."

"Honestly, I've been so blind these past years." I whispered. "I always thought I rescued Peach because of love..but it was because of you.."

Bowser stared in awe. "Me?"

"I went to save the princess because of you. Our battles were always so much fun, yet life threatening in the moment," I chuckled slightly. "I don't want that to end because of some selfish princess."

The Koopa king suddenly grabs me under the arms, twirling me in the air.

"Yes a hundred times!" He laughs, catching me off guard.

It seemed like we had been subconsciously been doing the same thing.

Princess Peach suddenly rushed to the front of the room. "I object!"

Bowser sets me down, glaring at the princess. "Fuck off. That choice disappeared when you tried to break our hearts."

Her eyes widened as she realized what she had done.

Nobody was going to be chasing after her anymore. No more pointless attention from either of us.

Luigi pushed pasted the stunned princess heading towards me.

At first I thought he was going to shame me. I mean, we had been fighting this guy for, heck, who knows how long.

He didn't. "Good on you bro!" He congratulated with a pat on the back. "I'm so proud!"

Other people from the crowd then stepped forward to congratulate me. Even Pauline!

All the attention made Bowser put his arm around me protectively, and I don't blame him considering his past 'lover' being stolen from him constantly.

I'm happy to be his though.
