...

The gray-haired goddess was sitting on the windowsill of the wide window of her room. The sun's rays shone through the transparent silk curtains and fell on the floor. Calm and comfortable. Her chambers were located in the high eastern tower of the castle. The window overlooked the square in front of the castle, on which the servants continually appeared, hurrying to fulfill their duties, a little further the main gate of the palace and part of the magnificent garden. A girl with half-closed eyes watches the bustle in front of the castle. Her thoughts are empty, her muscles are relaxed. It seems that the girl will now plunge into a doze.

“Your Highness, let me come in,” the maid's voice came suddenly with a knock on the door.

“Yes, come in,” the goddess sighed, getting up from the windowsill.

A woman of about thirty-five entered the room with the neatly folded belongings of the young princess.

“Mister Mael is wondering if you want to accompany him at breakfast today?”

“Give my apologies, but today I will eat in my room.”

       “As you say, Madam.”

The princess did not like such a formal address, but no matter how many times she asked her servants to call her by name, no one agreed, fearing her status. She later resigned herself. There was always a bustle around the goddess, but she could not call everyone friends. The closest ones were Mael, Sarmiel, Tarmiel, Gloxinia, Droll and the goddess Emily, who was the commander of a detachment of the army. She was also friends with a man named John, but he died of old age as early as four centuries ago. But none of them shared her views on the wrong structure of the world. Goddesses present themselves as saints, messengers of good, manipulating other races. The only ones who refused to obey were the demons. Therefore, rumors spread about them that they were monsters, carrying exclusively chaos and destruction, devoid of feelings. Elisabeth used to find it odd. Therefore, she desperately tried to find a demon who would listen to her opinion on solving the difficult relationship between goddesses and demons. For the girl, this was extremely important, since the conflict was growing and, albeit unofficially, everyone was preparing for the inevitable war. It remains to find a reason that will push everyone to senseless destruction of each other. Meliodas turned out to be such a demon.
