Polar opposites

Every class has them,
They are very well known,
The class clown,
He's well known and bold,
Always has an opinion,
Likes to believe he's important,
Thinks he's funny,
And stupid like extremely stupid,
And the quiet kid,
She keeps her head down,
They are fairly smart but doesn't let it show,
There head is always down,
They are the wall flower,
No fun to be around,
What a pair of opposites,
People would think that,
People are judged from the way they portray themselves,
And kids like these are described in society as polar opposites,
However there is one similarity,
It is hidden from friends,
Family,
Teachers,
And themselves,
It is put under a jacket or hoodie and forgotten about,
It is the thing they get questioned about when in the doctors,
A cat scratch is what they would call it,
An injury that will go away,
It has many nicks names to them but to us,
It is a series of deep cuts up there arms,
However no one will see that because it is hidden,
It is hidden from society,
Under a jacket or hoodie,
Because after all out of sight,
Out of mind...
