"Nigga I'm not getting back into that shit, what makes you think Imma quit just to join it again."
"Bitch huh? You see Im doing good why the fuck you still on my line? Fuck outta' here." K'saiah snapped waking Ajani up.
"Oh I'm sorry." He quickly apologized to her in a softer voice and hung up on who ever was on the phone.
"It's okay, who was that?" She's already heard half of the conversation but was still half asleep.
She knew he used to be in the game but she also knew he got out of it.
"Nobody important." He muttered popping his fingers making her shrug it off.
"Oh we still going to the mall today right?" He asked changing the subject once it got quiet.
-
"Ajani we done walked in circles three times can we go to a different store?" K'saiah complained, the both of them were inside rue 21 and Ajani had two shirts and two pair of oversized jeans.
"Fine, you can't lie though , these boyz in the hood shirts go hard. They're on sale too." She hyped as they made their way to the check out line.
"Where you wanna go next?" He asked as the lady started ringing their stuff up.
"It doesn't matter." She shrugged putting the last of her stuff up there.
"Your total is 79.85, are you paying with cash or card?"
"Cash." Ajani responded, she went to get her money out of her purse but K'saiah already beat her to it and put his own.
He knew she was going to nag him but he didn't really care.
"Do you want the receipt?"
"No." He responded, after she told them to have a good day he grabbed the bags and Ajani's hand , and exited the store.
"Oh you ain't gon nag me this time?" He asked as they walked hand in hand.
"I'm glad you know that you need to be nagged." She said pinching his arm.
"Ow, strong ass fingers." He said popping her hand away.
"Pop me again Kanji." She said calling him his middle name.
"What you gon' do bout it miss Johnson?" K'saiah replied back jokingly .
"Keep doing it and you gon' find out." She said before pulling him towards another store.
K'saiah later found out that the reason she didn't care as much is because she was planning on buying their food.
