𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕞𝕚𝕤𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖?

the dinner was fine, everything was fine, besides Iwaizumi being awkward

you can tell he didn't want to be there, it made everything worse how his now ex-girlfriend just announced she didn't love him but seeked revenge cause of his first ex-girlfriend.

this whole situation was drama to start with, everyone was happy we were back but of course we made this occasion about makki.

So why does it feel like every ones just  waiting for us? are we the bad people? am i the bad person for causing a scene?

these questions flooded my mind as i kept my eyes on my plate, playing with my food but not eating, ushijima but insanely large ass hand that obviously grew from the  last time i saw him, on my thigh, i look up and he mouths "are you okay?" i smile and nod my head, while makki and Mattsu tell every one in that table that they hope Tooru and I would visit more Tooru bumped me and i chocked on the water i was once drinking 

"OH GOD AGAIN?!" Tooru gets up and starts patting your back 

"DAMN BITCH! YOURE TRYING TO KILL ME ALREADY?!" you let out after you finally caught your breath

"WHY WOULD I WHEN THERE IS OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE WATCHING!!"  he says 

"im joking by the way" Tooru clarifies cause he knows there's a whole y/n protection squad at that table 

"well y/n has a few words if you don't mind that she steals the spotlight from you for just a second makki" Tooru smiles and makki said its okay

"im playing for the Japan Women's National Volleyball team" you say while drinking your water again

"WHAT?! ALREADY?!"  everyone says 

"ya, im a starter" you say 

"wow im so proud of you" Ushijima says 

"thank you thank you" you smile at him

"what about you Tooru?" Mattsu said

"why would i play for Japan?" he starts laughing 

"you obviously know the Argentina team will go to shit after i left right?" you said raising your eyebrow while sipping your water

"well...they did kinda suck" he said 

"expect more wins from us" you smile 

"ya but we're obviously going to win" Tooru says 

"good luck with that camp" you say waving him off

"and plus how could you say that when our Ushi gushi will snap you like a twig with all the muscle he has gained" you pouted and squeezed Ushijima's beefy arm

"shut up" Tooru says looking away 

"and how about our Iwa-cha? hes beefy too since hes been working out and going to school!" Tooru says while squeezing his bicep

"i could agree with that, that manz is built like a dilf- NOT THE POINT! you're still going to get beat!" you say quickly 

"ahhhh lovers quarrel" Makki and Mattsu said 

"OHHH AND THE SEXUAL TENTION IM GETTING FROM THOSE 2!"  you and Tooru say pointing to Makki and Mattsu 

"woah woah woah when were we brought up into this?" Makki says tryin to brush you guys off with a blush 

"OH SHUT UP! YOU JUST KNOW iWA-CHAN IS BETTER THAN YOUR bEsTiE" tooru says pointing from Iwaizumi to ushijima 

"OHHHH THATS WERE YOURE WRONG! USHIJIMA IS A FANTASTIC PLAYER AND FRIEND-" you say 

"than date him" Iwaizumi said with an unamused face 

"what?" you say

"than. date. him." he says in a slower way making it seem like you were dumb

"why would i do that?" you say in a annoyed voice 

"do what you did from the start?  tell him all your secrets first, talk to him about all your problems, be on HIS SIDE EVEN WHEN YOU HAD A BOYFRIEND! GO RUN TO HIM WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE" Iwaizumi slammed his hand on the table 

" YOURE STILL ON THIS?!" you say getting up and getting your stuff

"im sorry makki, have a good night you guys and get home safe" you kissed makki's head and hugged him, waving everyone off as they all looked at you in shock

Ushijima got up and ran after you 

Tooru just sat back in his chair

"I apologize for the yelling" Tooru said while mattsu just pat his back 

"it's not your fault" Makki said 

~Outside with you~

"Y/N! WAIT Y/N!" Ushijima ran after you while you walked to god knows where, he finally grabbed your hand (not roughly though)

"im sorry that had to happen" he said pulling you into his chest cause you were crying

"im sorry he always involves you" you say crying into his chest while he strokes your hair

"you can stay at my place tonight" Ushijima says and you silently nod

"just...wait in my car" he says giving you the car keys and beeping it to let you know which car it was 

you walked over and got inside the passenger  seat

~Ushijima's pov~ 

i watch y/n go into the car and lock the door like i told her too, i jog back inside and get my blazer jacket, putting down money for my high school team and my food , I give Makki his present and while i was about to go out i stopped infront of him

"hey, if you didn't know, she came to me cause you weren't there " i said and took my leave 

I could see from the reflection Iwaizumi was in shock but he still drank 

as I got to the car I knocked on it and y/n unlocked the door, i started the car and drove to my house, the car was quiet with silent sniffles coming from her, i truly felt bad, she could never escape this and i couldn't do anything cause she's more worried about y volleyball career than her own mental health

As i drive into the parking lot i open her door as she gets out the car, she shivers so i hand her my jacket, she covers herself as i walk her to the entrance, opening the door for her, the first thing she seen when she walked in was a picture of us when we were kids, her smile radiating miles away. She didn't know it but i always liked her.

everything she did was amazing to me, i was so happy when i heard she got excepted into Argentina, i also knew she would always keep in contact with me, her smile, her laugh, the way she dips her fries in vanilla ice cream, the way she has different styles for different seasons.

but i always respected her first love, her first love that was never me, her first love that shes still not over... i'll always support her so i guess its just best for me to stay on the side lines and watch her be happy cause who wouldn't lover her? i sure do.
