Those were some of the strongest emotions people felt when the Empire came to be. When the war with the Separatists was finally over, a violent shift of power took place, not many know for sure what happened, and those who did were hunted down since only the Jedi knew the brutality behind this new regime

It had been a little over a year, and the darkness only grew stronger, as the Sith ruled the galaxy

But not everything was lost, for pockets of survivors were still hiding in the corners of the known galaxy, trying to survive, and some even regrouping to overthrow the Empire

Amongst those survivors, were Ahsoka and I. A friendship that evolved into love in the heat of the Clone Wars, we remained on the same path even after she quit the order, and after parting ways with Rex, one of the few clones that rose above his programing, we had become refugees

Currently, we were living in Raada, a remote farming moon located within the Outer Rim Territories

Under the name Ashla, Ahsoka found a job as a mechanic, while I became a farmer and merchant. With our combined work, we were getting supplies for our next trip. We both knew that as lovely as this life was, we could not stay long in one place, for the Empire would find us eventually

But until then, we were just a happy couple

And I had even learned to cook a variety of dishes to keep things from getting boring. But moments like these, where Ahsoka returned and complained about her job while I prepared a meal for the two of us made me wonder what this other path could've been like

Of course, I was set on destroying the Empire and finally bringing some peace to the galaxy, but I was allowed to indulge in fantasy every now and then

"Your food is definitely the best part about our stay here" She hummed as she finished the meal

I chuckled before taking the empty bowl away

"I aim to please"

A smile formed on her face as she watched me, but then a yawn came along. It had been a long day for her after all

"And I will take a shower" She sighed, "The sooner I get rid of the smell of oil the better"

I let out a short laugh as I was done with the dishes

"Well, you chose to be a mechanic"

She scratched the back of her neck while getting up

"It's what I know how to do"

Ahsoka walked towards the door but stopped when a thought crossed her mind. Now with a smirk, she looked over her shoulder, back to me

"Say, why don't you join me? I'm sure you had a long day too"

Knowing her intent, you laughed before walking over to her

"Of course"

The Togruta girl cheered as we walked out of the room
