"Now, who did this to you?" He asked and kneeled down in front of me, placing his hands on my knees.

"Why do you care?" I asked as he stared deep into my eyes.

I didn't understand what he was doing to me. Why did he have to be so cruel but then turn around and suddenly want to avenge me. It was confusing and annoying.

"I'm not just going to ignore the fact that you got the shit beaten out of you. Tell me who it was."

"I don't know who it was. It was just two guys in the city last night near my apartment." I responded and he nodded his head.

"They didn't... I mean you were wearing that amazing dress... did they..."

"They didn't touch me, if that's what you mean." I said and looked down. "Not in that way."

"Good. Tell me everything you remember about them and I'll go find them." Bucky said and stared at me.

"I don't understand you, Bucky." I said and stood up, pushing past him. "I could've sworn you hated me last night. Now, you want to go after those men."

"Just because I mess with you doesn't mean I'll allow anyone else to." He said and followed me as I walked out the door. "Morgan, just wait a second."

"No. You're so confusing. Just leave it alone and I'll be fine."

Bucky grabbed my wrist and spun me around. Before I could even blink, he had me pinned against the wall and his arms trapped me in front of him. The way he looked at me almost made my knees shake.

"Don't you get it?" Bucky asked and stared deep into my eyes. "Yesterday, when you forgave me, it meant more than just having your forgiveness. It meant that I could be around you and not want to scream at myself for making you hate me."

"What?" I responded and stayed completely still, hoping he'd forget I was even there.

"I met you all those years ago. Before Thanos, before Tony found out who I was, I met you and thought you were the most astoundingly beautiful women I'd ever seen." Bucky said and touched my cheek with his fingers.

"When everything happened, between Steve Tony and me, I thought I lost every chance of being able to speak to you or know you. Then... Tony died on that horrible day and I saw you kneeling beside him. I vowed to myself that day that I wouldn't let your hate stop me from getting close to you."

"Bucky, I don't understand." I said, which was a lie.

He had been thinking about me since the first time he saw me. I don't even remember seeing him before the final battle with Thanos. Maybe once, but that was all. His words just confused my mind even more.

"God, for being such a smart women, you're incredibly blind to what's right in front of you." Bucky said and continued to touch my cheek.

Then, his lips were on mine. Not in a way that made me think he just wanted to sleep with me or something. It was more like I could feel him pulling me towards him and how he wanted to be with me.

When he pulled away, I was frozen with shock. My nose ached, from the pressure of his face pressed against mine, but I was numb to it. Did that really just happen?

"Please, say something." Bucky said and stepped back, giving me the option to walk away if I wanted it.

My head was full of thoughts, but no words came out. All I could think was how my dad would feel if he knew about this. I'd like to think he wouldn't want it, so I can just walk away and not think about it again.

But, I knew he'd forgive Bucky, and I also knew that he'd want me to be happy. The idea of Bucky being with me, forever, was intriguing. Before I had the chance to say something, Steve turned the corner and saw me, bruised and beaten, standing in front of Bucky.

"Bucky, what the hell did you do!" Steve shouted and tackled Bucky to the ground.

"Steve, no!" I shouted and tried to grab him. "Stop it!"

Then, Peter came around the corner, hearing the commotion, and was shocked at how I looked. Peter grabbed me and held me against his chest as Steve and Bucky were fighting in front of us.

"It wasn't him!" I shouted but Steve wasn't listening.

The sight of Steve beating up Bucky tore my heart in half. Bucky fought him off well, but Steve had the motive, me, to keep pushing through.

"What is going on?" Wanda asked as she turned the corner.

"Wanda! Listen to me! Stop steve!" I shouted and stared at her with fear in my eyes.

Luckily, she didn't hesitate. Wanda waved her hands and held both of them against the wall. I sighed with relief and stepped out of Peter's arms, towards Steve.

"Steve, it wasn't Bucky." I said and forced a smile up to Steve. "I was trying to tell you, but you were just so mad you blocked it out."

"Shit." Steve said and his head fell down. "I'm sorry, Morgan. I just saw you there and didn't know what to think."

With everyone finally calm, Wanda released the two of them and they hugged it out. Neither of them were hurt, just a bloody nose. As soon as Bucky was finished with Steve, I wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Uh, did I miss something?" Peter said and stared at me hugging Bucky.

"Come on. Let's give them some privacy." Wanda said and winked at me while leading Steve and Peter away.

"I'm sorry Steve hit you." I whispered against his chest.

"It's okay. He was pulling his lunches anyway." Bucky said and chuckled as he held onto me.

I didn't know what it was between us, but I couldn't see myself without Bucky. The rest of the day was spent with me explaining every detail of my attack to the team. It only took them about 6 hours to find them and have them arrested.

Who would've thought that I was going to fall for someone like Bucky. In my head, we were enemies, but now, I can hardly leave a room without wanting him next to me, forever.
