CHAPTER 2

A couple weeks after Y/N enrolled at UA~

"Wow Y/N you've adapted to this class well, you're making your way to the top real quick!" Mina beams, "yeah, you're probably gonna be the number 1 hero one day." Denki adds, "oh cmon, you know that's not true. I just hope I'm able to be the best hero I can be." I say. "Ugh." Bakugo huffs from behind me, "you got something to say?" I say while raising an eyebrow, "I'm gonna be the number one hero." Bakugo says sharply, "oh yeah? And what makes you so sure?" I say teasingly. "Cheaters cant become the number one hero. Plus I'm the strongest one here, I'll crush anyone who gets in my way." He argues, he looks pissed. I sigh, and turn away.
Bakugo has been giving me a hard time ever since I got here, hes a hardheaded jerk who deserves to be punched in the throat, but I cant help but feel... never mind.
I have made a few friends though, like mina, denki, sero, kirishima and midoriya. Me and midoriya have gotten really close and if im being completely honest midoriya has really caught my eye, he's so sweet and nice to me, kinda the opposite of bakugo. I look over to midoriya, our eyes meet, i slowly look him up and down, he notices and tries not to react since the others are around.
The others are having a conversation about the interships and the pro hero companies that sent them offers. I wasnt here yet for that, so ill either sit this out or choose between one of the 40 agencies that are there for students who didnt get any offers. Ill talk to aizawa about that later, but rn i wanna mess with midoriya, hes adorable when he gets flustered. I break the eye contact and grab my phone.
Me: hey midoriya, you free after class?
He feels the vibration of the notification and grabs his phone.
Midoriya: sure, why?
Me: you'll see 😏
He blushes and puts his phone back in his pocket.
Bakugo looks over and notices us, he furiously huffs and walks over. He slams his hand on my desk "why the hell you flirting with this damn nerd?" Everyone looks over, i smile "what? You jealous?" I say teasingly, "im gonna kill you, stupid cheater." He threatens. I stand up, holding my ground, our faces inches from eachother, "calm down puppy, you cant become the number one hero with your head this far up your ass." I say coldly. its silent, we're just staring at eachother with fury on our faces. "Ok thats enough." Aizawa says firmly, i sit down arms folded a scold on my face as I keep eye contact, bakugo turns around and sits down silently.
"Today we are gonna be picking our hero names, its mandatory to have one when you go to hero angencies for your internships." Everyone gets excited, as do i.
Ive waited to pick out an actual hero name my entire life. Everyone goes up and picks a name, soon its my turn but my mind goes blank. Every name i had chosen for myself leaves my head. I start to panic, once i choose a name thats it, thats my hero name. "Y/N your turn" i get up, everything seems to be going in slow motion, i get to the front of the class. Its silent for a moment. "...My hero name will be...." i think to myself for a second, "Gaia" i pause for a second, "Gaia is the goddess of the earth, and as someone who can bend the elements of earth to my will i find it fitting that i pick that name and live up to it." I bow and take my seat, "i like that name," midoriya whispers, i look at him and smile, "thank you, Deku."

After class~~

Everyone is leaving, either going back to the dorms to study, going out to train or going somewhere to eat.
"Hey midoriya!" I wave and shoot him a warm smile. He seems nervous.. i wonder why. "H-hey Y/N, you wanted to see me?" He rubs the back of his neck, i smirk "yeah i did, do you have any plans this evening? I kinda wanted to hang out" i put my hand on his shoulder and run it down his arm, he stares at my hand in disbelief, "uh i-i dont i mean yeah i wanted to train but uhh i have some free time," he laughs nervously. I lean in real close, my mouth next to his ear, "wanna do something fun? I whisper, sending shivers down his spine. I back up looking in his eye, he looks nervous but i can see the lust in his eye. He nods, i smile and grab his arm, "follow me."
