I have the unusual power to control fire without getting harmed myself. Fury saw me using my force and told me they could use someone like me with S.H.I.E.L.D . I protested and said I was only 17 years old and had no experience of fighting at all. He replied it wouldn't be a problem to him. After all he convinced me to come anyway. And now I'm on my way to the headquarters of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Suddenly there appeared a huge white building in front of me. It had the shape of a half circle and was about 50 floors high. I walked towards the front doors with a resolute posture, with the meaning to look older, because a teenager walking into s.h.i.e.l.d would draw attention. It was possible Fury informed the guards I was coming but still I didn't want to take any risks. Without effort I passed the guards, but when I entered I had no idea where to go. When I wasn't paying attention there came a man from behind and surprised me. "Welcome to s.h.i.e.l.d, my name is agent Coulson. Please follow me." Before I could reply he had turned away already and was walking towards the elevator.

When we finally arrived on the highest floor we first had to walk trough a long hallway before reaching Fury's office. Coulson stopped in front of a door and indicates we arrived at Fury's office. He surveys me and frowns, but he still takes effort to wish me luck and then dissapears. Now I'm on my own. I summoned all of my courage and knocked on the door. "Yes?" I walked in and my eyes popped from their sockets: you had an amazing view over the whole city because we were on the highest floor and because Fury's office was surrounded by windows. "I looked through your files and everything seems to be alright, expect for your fighting skills. But that's no problem: we will train you." I nodded. Fury looked at me doubtful. "If you don't wan to, I understand. It's hard to have a job like this at such a young age." "No, I do want to, it's just... what will happen to my old life?" I asked curious. "Everything will be different." he stated formally. This one single sentence sounded like music in my ears, I imagine how much better my life would be without the orphanage, the school where people are always telling you what to do, the bullies from my school who always used to laugh with me because I couldn't afford the newest clothes,... But then without reason and unintended there memories flashed back into my mind of my dad cuddling with my mum, my dad sitting in his office doing some daily paperwork, my mother cooking my favourite meal and I wondered what they would say if they knew what I was about to do. And then I remember: they always said to follow my heart, which was exactly what I was about to do. "I take the job." I said dead certain of myself.
