Life as we know it, we think the we can control what happens next. But truth be told its the hard working angels that keep life at peace for everyone in the world. But as an angel if you try to help anyone,if they are suppose to pass away. Or even do wrong, you will get kicked out of Heaven and fall to Earth and become what everyone knows as a fallen angel. Humans won't know you're an angel until something strange happens. You're wings will be hidden until it does. And that's what I'm about to find out after what I did. My name is Waverly, and I had to save a person i love even tho they don't know who I am. And this is the story......

I did it....I saved her. As I peer down from the clouds, I could see she was getting put into the ambulance after the crash. Just then I heard a bell go off, and I know that was going to happen. The angel council was ringing it for me to come to them. I take a deep breathe and head to the room. I slowly open the door seeing all the head angels giving me disapproving looks.

Adam speaks, "Waverly, you know why you have came?"

I slowly nod my head, "She's young, it wasn't her time to go. I couldn't just let her die!" i stated.

Eve looks at Adam and then back at me, " I'm sorry, but you now know what happens when you break the biggest rule of being an angel."

I look up, " I know I was told my whole life was to keep people on the right track, and not let them live if their not suppose too. But her true life was beginning and I just didn't want that ripped away from her.

"You have still broken the law, you have be condoned to a fallen angel now, you must walk the earth. With no happiness, and be consumed with the evil that plagues the earth." Adam then grabs the mullet and hits it to the table.

I fall threw the ground, falling all the way to earth. I close my eyes tightly as I go. Then boom, lighting strikes the ground where I lay. I cough and slowly get up. Shaking and cold, it starts to pour rain. I look around at the houses. It's nighttime and every light is off but one blue house.

I slowly walk up to the house, and knock on the door shivering. The door opens and I'm met with a tall redhead.

"Hello?" She looks curiously.

I speak softly as I could my voice trembling, "Hi my name is Waverly, I-I'm sorry, but I have no whereto go, and I'm very cold. Your house was the only one around here with lights on, so I assumed you were awake. May I come in?"

She gave me a confused look, but smiles " yeah sure, you can. My name is Nicole. you new to town? Never seen you around before?"

I nod slowly, " Yeah I uh was staying with a friend but had a big falling out. So I've been walking." I lie, I guess you can say I'm starting off good being a fallen angel. I never know what truly happens after an angel because a fallen angel.

Nicole speaks up, "Well I can get you some dry clothes and you can take a shower. We can talk more about your situation when you're not so cold." She smiles.

I nod my head as I follow her to her room I assume. She gets out a sweater and some sweatpants handing them to me. She smiles, " the bathroom is just down the hall to your right. I'll be in the kitchen, and cook some hot food."

I nod, "Thank you, Nicole. You're so nice, I really appreciate it." I smile.

"No problem, it's my job to help people. I am the sheriff after all." She smiles at me.

I smile and head to go take a shower. Once in the bathroom, I lock the door behind me and take off my clothes. Just then a sharp pain shoots thru my back and I hold in my scream as best as I can. My wings pop out and I look at them all white. But then I start seeing the ends turn gray and slowly turn black. Just the tip of my wings are black and the pain has stopped for now. I hid my wings and take a shower, it helps smooth out the pain.

Once I finish up and get dressed, I go back out to the kitchen where Nicole said she would be. I turn the corner and see Nicole stirring a small pot of what smells to be tomato soup. I give a small smile as I sit on the bar stool.

Awkward silence....

Nicole grabs a couple bowls from the cupboard and pours some of the soup into each bowl. Putting one in front of me and her. She grabs some spoons out of the drawer and hands me on with a smile.

Nicole speaks, "So I'm gonna need an explanation, or at least some reassurance. Did you run away? From your friend? Or like from your boyfriend?" She asked waiting for me to answer.

I shook my head " Nope nothing like that."

"I just don't want anyone angry or think me the sheriff kidnapped you or something. She stated.

Sounding confident I say, " I'm sure. I'm an adult, I just had no where to go, and it was cold out."

"Could you tell me anything that happened to you, to end up out in the middle of the night in the rain by yourself?" She questioned.

"I can't, and I'm sorry. I wish I could but I can't. But please trust me, I can't give you an explanation right now, but I hope you got a little bit of reassurance." I replied.

Nicole spoke softly, "So you'll tell me later?" I nod slowly.

"Okay then Waverly, I'm going to trust you, you can sleep in the guest bedroom," she looked at me.

I nod, "Thank you again for everything, I do appreciate it." I say giving a smile.

As we finish up the soup, she takes the dirty dishes and puts them into the sink. I follow her up to the guest bedroom. "Please don't break my trust, Waverly." she says.

"I won't, Nicole." i smile as we said good night to each other.

I lay down on the bed, and get under the covers thinking about how my life will be now. But Nicole is really nice and maybe she can help me get on the right track. I yawn and turn to my side closing my eyes. Falling fast asleep......
