~Keilaya pov~

I was meeting Gio parents today at dinner as well as them meeting my parents they were coming over, it's been like 3 months of us dating so why not. I was so excited about this and so was Gio. It's like meeting the in laws. I looked at myself in the dress and took a picture and sent it to the group chat.

They didn't even bother to respond to my dumb ass.

Gio texted me that they was here I was nervous as hell.I ain't never been nervous around people but I am now. I heard the door bell ring I dropped my phone on my bed and ran downstairs calmly though.

Everyone was greeting each other like they knew each other.

I walked down the last step and hugged Gio and he gave me a kiss.

He took my hand and guided me to his parents.

"Mom dad this is Keilaya my girlfriend, her parents mr. and mrs. Butterfly and her brother Ermias, these are my parents mr and mrs. Rossi" Gio said introducing us. They were really Italian like the mob.

I smiled and stuck my hand out and they gave me hugs instead.

"Oh it's so nice too meet you Gio can't stop talking about you" his mom said

I smiled "that's good I hope it's all good stuff" I said smiling

"Oh the things Gio tell us I think he might love you" his dad said

"You guys are embarrassing" Gio said to his parents and I laughed.

"Let's go head and get dinner ready" my mom said and Ermias and I took their coats putting it in the closet.

We walked in the dinning room.

"I'm going to help my mom I'll be back play nice" I said and went in the kitchen to my mom.

"They're really nice" my mom said

"Yeah they are they bring great energy" I said

"They do they really appreciate black people" my mom said

"They do I love them" I said smiling

"They're definitely in the mob though" my mom said and walked away with the food. She can't just do that what the hell? I got out the drinks and went back in the dining room.

I sat next to Gio and Ermias this should be fun.

"How old are you Keilaya?" Gio mom asked me

I was still kinda stuck on the mob thing what if this was a set up to kill my dad what did I do?

"I'm 17 but I'm a senior" I said

"Oh yeah Giovanni mention you skipped a grade in middle school" his dad said

I smiled "yeah that's what gravitated me to Gio he was the only white kid I seen and I was the youngest so I was like might as well make the two new weirdos be friends" I said

"So sweet" his mom said smiling my mom poured Gio parents wine and as well as my dad and herself. My mom made salad with glazed lamb chops and butternut squash gnocchi with sage brown butter and it was to die for my mom knew how to cook.

We started serving the food around and then my dad looked around the table.

"Do you guys pray?" He asked them

"Not usually but we are in your home if you want us to we will" Gio dad said

"Nope we don't so let dive right on in" my dad said Gio dad and my dad were talking like they was besties. My uncles better not find this out.

Gio put his hand on my leg. "Ou this food is really good" Gio mom said

My mom smile at her "why thank you" my mom said

"It's really tasty" his mom said

"It really is" Gio said smiling I kept eating because he needed to shut up. Gio hand went higher on my thigh he's trying to seduce me.

"So Keilaya what you got planned after you graduate?" Gio dad asked me.

"Take a year off and explore the world, go to a different place every month for the year until it's time but so far I've applied into Princeton, penn state, LSU, dsu, Morgan state, NYU and the university of Miami" I said

"You are a brilliant girl" his mom said

I smiled "I try to be humble about it I'll be the first in family to go to college as well as Ermias we might go to the same school" I said

"Everywhere he go you gonna go?" She asked me

"Nah he's not taking a year off so that's different" I said

"Well you can come and visit Gio" his dad said

"What do you mean?" I asked looking at Gio.

Gio was just as confused as I was.

"We are moving back to Italy" his mom said

"What? No I just got him you can't take him now" I said

"I know you two just started dating and this is hard because we really do like you for our son" his dad said

"So don't move" I said

"We have to we did our business here" his mom said

"You guys are kidding right?" Gio said

"Everything is going right for me and now you want to move and back to Italy we don't even like there I'm with a girl I love and you just taking me from her" Gio said

"You love me?" I asked him

"I do very much" Gio said

"We hate for this to happen but long distance relationships work" his mom said

"Mom dad?" I said to my parents

"Nothing we can do Keilaya" my dad said I sat there with my eyes filling up with tears. Gio got up and left I heard the door close.

"Can I come visit when you guys move I heard the girl in Italy walk around with no shirts on" Ermias said

I got up "it was nice meeting you both I'm going to find Gio." I said and I walked away and out the door.
