Back at Home (Britney's POV)

I start chugging the water my dad handed me because, well...I have to act thirsty or else they will know I'm blushing. 

We arrive home and I bolt upstairs to my room so I can tell my best friend what happened. I get to my room and I remember, "Shoot, I should've asked for Sugars number...I guess next time I see her I'll ask..." I shrug and jump onto bed, grabbing my phone. I open messages and call Trixie, she's my best friend.

 Trixie picks up the phone and we greet each other like normal. I put my phone down beside me and hug my pillow so I can scream into it. Trixie hears me shriek, and asks me if I have a crush. I lift my head up from my pillow and I reply to her, "How do you know I have a crush?" Trix yells through the phone back at me, "I CAN TELL BY THE WAY YOU'RE SHRIEKING THAT YOU JUST MET SOMEONE YOU LIKE. Now tell me her name." I could practically hear her smirking through the phone. "Well...how do you know its a her?" I say, trying to contradict her. Trixie SCREAMS at me, "BRITNEY YOU'RE A LESBIAN OF COURSE I KNOW ITS A GIRL..." "Oh yeah, I kinda forgot about that," I say to myself and Trixie. Trix, in shock says, "HOW DO YOU FORGET YOUR SEXUALITY?!"  I yell back, "I DON'T KNOW MAN." 

We continue our conversation and I eventually tell Trixie who I like and she gives me some advice. "I'd say ask your mom to text her mom to see if you guys can meet up again and then make a move from there." I hear my mom shout from the bottom of my stairs, "Dinner's ready Brit!" I look back down at my phone, still resting on my bed, and say goodbye to Trixie, "Thank you Trix, really. My mom is calling m for dinner now though so I have to go." I hang up the phone and bolt down my steps for dinner.

"Hey dear!" My mom says, turning her head towards me. My loud footsteps rumble the floor as I sprint into the kitchen to give her a big hug.  "What's for dinner?" I ask. She replies with a smile, "Oh! Were having tacos tonight, your favorite!" I can tell my mom saw my eyes widen with glee because she gave me a sweet smile. Some things my mom does tells me what I'm doing and how its affecting her, so I'm glad she does those small things. My mom serves me and my dad our tacos, and sits down herself. I take a bit of my delicious taco and I for some reason I start thinking about Sugar.

My head rapidly raced to the conversation with Trixie from that point. "That's right, I need to ask my mom to message Sugars mom to see if we can hang out again tomorrow." That's when I get cut off by my front door opening. I wake up from my daze and look up to see...SUGAR AND HER FAMILY?

I stand up with a mouth full of food and turn around and accidentally make eye contact with Sugar. We both blush. Our families greeting each other at the door. My mom turns around and looks at me, "Oh yes, I forgot to tell you Britney, I invited them all over for dinner! I hope you don't mind sweetie." My eyes shoot up to my mom and I reply to her with, "Oh no it's fine...I was just about to ask you if we could make plans for tomorrow! I had fun hanging out with Sugar." I wipe my taco mouth and smile at Sugar, who immediately gave a warm smile back. "Sugar is so cute...I just wish I could hold her under the moonlight..." 

I sit back down and pull out the chair next to me so Sugar can sit down. I offer to serve tacos to the rest of the table without food, so my mom can sit down and rest. I can see she's happy about it. I grab tacos and put them onto three plates. I grab the three plates and walk over to table where I hand out the tacos.

Everyone starts eating. The parents conversate and me and Sugar just stay quiet since we don"t know what to talk about. After everyone finishes, we get up and put our plates in the sink. My mom tells me, "Britney were all gonna go to their house for a bit ok? they're having a bonfire and were gonna have a couple drinks and make smores." My smile widens and I rush up to my room to get ready. I put on the outfit I feel most confident in and run back downstairs. My mom greets me at the front door and tells me to get in the car, and that shell be out in a minute.
