You've been friends with Victoria for a couple of years now which meant that you got to be by her side through possibly the most important events in her life. Getting famous worldwide was definitely something she spoke about often over a glass of wine but now it was real. Although their increasing fame meant you got to see your friend less and less you were happy for them and supported them as much as you could.

Through the years you got to know Ethan, Thomas and Damiano as well. You saw each other a lot since everyone liked to gather at Victoria's place and hang out by the pool or inside. Still, you didn't really connect with them the same way as you did with Victoria, partially because of how busy they were with the band and partially because you were simply quite shy and reserved.

After winning Eurovision you knew that Victoria would host a party to celebrate and that day was today. She invited you over and although you don't like big gatherings like that – you couldn't say no because you wanted to let her know that you care so you agreed to come.

On the day of you were already stressed in the morning. You couldn't decide what to wear, what to do with your hair and what to say to the people there. Sure, you'd know most of them, but you weren't very close to anyone but Vic which meant you'd definitely have to stand around by yourself for a fair amount of time. Still, pushing the thoughts away you picked an outfit and went ahead to wash your hair since you decided to leave it natural and not put it up in a ponytail or a bun.

A couple of hours before the party started you decided to get dressed and come over early so you could give your present – a bottle of expensive champagne and a handwritten note – without the interruption of others. You put on a black slip dress and some strappy heels to keep it simple yet fit for the occasion. Calling a cab and getting there took only 20 minutes and once you were there – the nerves fully set in. You waled to the door, rang the doorbell and didn't have to wait long for Vic to open up.

"Hey y/n! Early always as I see." She laughed, welcoming you inside the familiar home.

"Yeah, you know me. I just wanted to give you this and say how proud I am of you and the band." You replied, handing her the present you got. You could see her face light up and she pulled you in for a hug immediately.

"You really didn't have to, you've already given me the biggest present ever of being my friend." Vic said as she pulled away from the hug.

You two took finished up setting up for the party and talking about the good old days and, of course, the guestlist of the party that was about to happen. You did this because you wanted to calm your anxiety but it didn't really help much because there were a lot of people that you didn't know and you didn't want to ask about it either. You simply nodded away and kept quiet because you knew tonight is about the four of them and not you.

Before long the door rang again, again and again and then eventually it was just left open for everyone that was coming in. You knew that this was a big occasion to celebrate but even for Vic this was excessive. You've never seen this many people in this house before.

Music was playing loud and there was chatter everywhere. You had lost Vic a while ago so now you were just drinking alone, going outside by the pool once in a while to smoke and to get away from the noise. You knew you'd get a chance to celebrate just with her and do what you normally do – laugh, drink and discuss not only the big current events but also what lies ahead.

After smoking yet another cigarette you went inside to get a drink but some guys that you didn't know were gathered around near the drinks and you couldn't pass them. Not knowing how to get their attention so you could ask them to hand you a beer too you just stood there until one of them noticed you.
