The door opened and out came the tall boy, rubbing his head with a towel.

"Who is i-" Basil stopped when he saw who stood at his door. He removed the towel from his head and his mouth formed an "o" shape.

Simi raised her eyebrow as she noticed that his hair was suddenly dirty blonde.

"What did you do to your hair?" Simi questioned.

"Do you like it?" Basil asked teasingly.

"You look like shit," Simi rolled her eyes.

"Could say the same for you," the newly blond snickered.

"So why the hell are you here at my door anyways?"

Simi stuffed her hands in her pockets and sighed.

"Why did you pay for that stuff?" Simi huffed.

"Why did you send that poor girl out to get your stuff in the middle of the night?" Basil questioned, moving out into the hallway, closing the front door behind him.

"I did not do that," the green eyed girl annoyedly explained. "She just suddenly left to get it."

Basil felt a smile creep onto his face.

"What are you doing with your face?" Simi interrupted, noticing the small smile that had formed on his face.

"What am I doing?" Basil raised his arms in defense.

"That thing, you're smiling."

"No I'm not."

The two began to argue about whether he was smiling or not before Simi broke out the question.

"Do you like Hailey?" Simi wiggled her eyebrows.

Basil widened his eyes at the sudden question.
He was shocked that Simi was teasing and picking him instead of straight up fighting him. He was also shocked that she got the idea that he had feelings for that girl when he had only spoken to her about 4 times in his life.

"What the fuck? No I don't," Basil snapped.

"Then why did you pay for all that stuff?" Simi jabbed a finger into his right peck.

Basil suddenly grabbed the girl by her forearms and pushed the girl against the wall, moving his face closer to hers.

"Did you cut your hair because of me?" Basil's eyes turned sharp, they burned with rage. He was going to get a straight answer from her this time.

Simi's jaw dropped. She wondered why he was so adamant on finding out the truth about that so bad. She frustratedly pushed the massive guy off of her. She felt her skin burn with rage again.

"Yes, for fuck's sake!" She yelled. "I fucking cut my hair because of you, you wouldn't stop pulling at it and I hated it so fucking much."

Basil's face dropped at every word that flew out of the raging girl's mouth. He never thought that his little petty fights with her would cause her to do such a hefty thing.

Simi wasn't even interested in knowing why he wanted to pay for Hailey. She flounce into the house and slammed door on the boy.

Basil began to knock at her door.

"Consider those supplies a way to make up for the harm I've caused you," Basil said quietly to the closed door before heading over to his own door.

Basil headed straight for his room, going straight into bed.

The light from the bathroom shone into Basil's room, he had an R&B track playing from his speakers and he lay idly on his messy bed. He couldn't sleep that night.

He thought back to all the fights he had with Simi, knowing that he only reciprocated what she did to him.

Over the years, Basil's hard demeanor began to soften and although he still had quite a short temper, he had learnt to control himself, especially around his peers.

He didn't want to end up like his mom.

He felt that Simi's mental breakdown was the last straw for him, he wondered if he really should continue going on with this feud.
