Michael's point of view:
The next morning I woke up early (for once) and yawned. I was groggy and tired so rolled over.
Michael: AH!
I rolled off the top bunk and hit the ground.
Michael: Aw! Ah! Ow...
Jackie sat up and rolled his eyes.
Jackie: Nice job Applehead...
I rolled my eyes and stood up, dusting myself off. He got up and left the room for breakfast. I looked out my window. I stared into Scarlett's room, through the white curtains. I couldn't see anything at first, until I saw a figure sit up and stretch their arms. I gripped the window.
Michael: *whispered tone* Scarlett!
I saw that shadow in the window get up and walk towards the window. It opened the curtains and opened the window. There she was. Scarlett breathed in the fresh air. I then opened my window and waved to her to get her attention. She didn't notice at first, until she glanced at me, then fully turned her head. She smiled at me and waved back. She looked so gorgeous. Her long hair blew in the breeze. I could stare at her all day.
Katherine: Breakfast! Everybody up!!
I turned and lowered my head, I looked back at Scarlett. She winked at me and closed her window, walking out of sight. I sighed and closed my window as well and walked out of my room for breakfast. I sat down next to Jermaine who had cuts on his face. I gulped and tried not to stare. I had some corn flakes with blue berries. I also had a glass of apple juice. Yum! Joseph sat at the end of the table, reading the paper like nothing ever happened last night. Janet suddenly waddled over and sat down next to me. She was sniffling, probably scarred from last night. I leaned over and whispered in her ear.
Michael: *whispered tone* Don't cry baby girl... It's okay, Applehead's here...
She looked up at me with her puppy eyes. I wrapped my arm around her and we snuggled.
Joseph: JANET! Each your cereal! It'll get soggy!
She leaped out of my arms and started quickly eating her cereal. I sighed and lowered my head. So misunderstood...
When I finished breakfast, I got up and put my plates in the sink. I seriously didn't want to rehearse today. I wanted to hang out with Scarlett! When Joseph was done eating, he got stood up.
Joseph: Alright Jacksons! Up up up! Get into positions!
Everyone took one last mouthful of their breakfast and stood up, bringing them over to the counter for mother to wash. We all ran into the living room, moved the furniture to the sides for the space in the middle, and we all lined up in our positions. I was in the front and Marlon, Jackie, Tito, Randy, and Jermaine were behind me. Tito got his guitar and put it around him, as did Jermaine with his bass. Joseph stood right in front of us, watching our every move as we started to perform Rockin' Robin for him. All of a sudden, when we all spun around, Marlon fell to the ground. We all stopped and stared at him with fear.
Joseph: MARLON!! You messed it up! Stand back up boy and do it again!
We all sang the verse before the spin and we all spun around a second time, but Marlon fell again. I put my hand my forehead and shook my head. Joseph then stomped over to him and picked him up by his shirt collar. Joseph slapped him hard across the face. I began to tremble.
Joseph: Now get it RIGHT.
Everyone lowered their heads as Marlon had tears already streaming down his cheeks. I swallowed hard. We started it again and he finally got it! Thank god... I did some cool moves and sung my heart out as usual. I spun around and walked to the other side of my brothers.
When the song ended, we all stared at Joseph, waiting for an answer. We were all breathing heavy.
Joseph: Better. We'll work on it some more tonight.
Joseph walked out of the room and we all exhaled. We moved the furniture back and began to play. My sisters, LaToya, Rebbie, and Janet, were sitting together. LaToya and Rebbie were doing some sort of handshake, Jackie and Tito were chatting, and Marlon and Jermaine were roughing each other around, but they were just kidding. I felt alone... Will I meet Scarlett again? I want to see her so bad! Thoughts of her were racing through my mind and I couldn't stop them.

Scarlett's point of view:
When I was eating breakfast, I couldn't help but think of Michael. I so desperately wanted to see him again! I already missed him and I barely know him! A minute is all I ask! I must see him! I simply needed to talk with him, just a little bit more. I decided to go outside when I finished my breakfast and I laid down on my front lawn. I played with the soft green grass, hoping he would notice me... I watched his house, there was no movement until a pick up truck drove by, blocking my view. When it finally passed, I saw Michael standing at his doorstep in a brown leather jacket with his hands in his denim jean pockets. I sat up and smiled. He smiled back, looked both ways, then ran across the street towards me. I stood up. He stopped and faced me, at least a foot away. I stepped towards him, breaking the space between us, and gave him a hug. He hugged me back and we stayed that way for a few minutes. When we parted, we both sat down in the grass and began to chat. He told me all the names of his brothers and sisters, what the family was like, and how they'd be going back on the road soon. That brought me down, I didn't want him to leave, I just got to know him! Not knowing, Michael's brothers were staring out the window at us, giggling and laughing.
Scarlett: Wh-when will you leave Michael?
Michael: Next week...
Scarlett: Promise you'll write to me?
Michael: Everyday...
He gave me a reassuring smile and I smiled back holding in tears to face the fact that my best friend, and only friend, was leaving soon for months!
Scarlett: You know Michael... You're my only friend?
He turned to me wide eyed.
Michael: How can you only have one friend?! You're so beautiful and funny and kind and-!
He stopped and blushed when he saw that I had a huge grin on my face.
Michael: ...and...you're great...
Scarlett: Thank you...
I lowered my head, he looked at me. He then flipped himself around and laid his head on my lap. I giggled. He started making funny faces which made me laugh so hard that I fell back into the grass. He then started to tickle me and I clenched and laughed uncontrollably.
Scarlett: M-Michael!! St-Stop!! Ahahaha!!!
He finally stopped and we laid down in the grass together looking up at the blue sky...
