THIRD PERSON

as mei drove in her white car passing through the street she turned her head towards the clock in the car.  '2am' it read. she slowly became more cautious of how slow or fast she was driving. surprisingly she actually wanted to catch him today.

since mei was aware no one else was on the street she allowed her thoughts to wander. of course with precision.

she truly wanted to understand. why would anyone order a birthday cake frozen yogurt and then go on a run. not to mention only an hour and a half later.

another question she had, why would anyone go on a run at two in the morning. with 24 hours in a day mei couldn't seem to understand why 2am was the time chosen.

she was pulled from her thoughts when she saw a moving figure from the corner of her eye. mei was confused as to what it was so she parked her car carefully on the side of the road.

she turned her head to the left to see the boy sitting on the bench. mei truly didn't want to seem like a creep when walking into the park. she had no idea what to do.

MEI POV

i sat in my car, keys in hand, thoughts everywhere. 'how do i walk in there without looking like a creep' i thought. i turned the car back on thinking my best choice was to leave. right when i was going to pull off i heard a knock on my window.

i turned my head to see the same boy. green eyes, toothy grin. i rolled my window down just enough for me to see his full face.

"ooh surprise surprise." i slowly shook my head, simply not being surprised that he had saw me. with the luck i have anything can happen.

"why are you here at 2:21 in the morning?" the light of my car hit his face as he asked his question. it gave me more access to admire his features. "i could ask you the same thing."

"well i normally go on runs at this time, as crazy as it sounds i have my reasons." i playfully rolled my eyes. "well what are these fabulous reasons?" i turned my car off to hear his voice a little clearer.

"well sit with me at the bench, and i'd be able to give you all the reasons in the world." he has this charm when he spoke but you were still skeptical about it. 'shocking coming from someone who was about to look for him' you thought.

"and how can i be so quick to trust you?" i shuffled a bit in my seat. " if i was gonna do something to you i would've done it ages ago while grabbing froyo" he gave me the 'duh face' as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. i watched as he put his hands in the pockets of his joggers.

"fine, but we can't be out too late." i turned to my passenger seat and grabbed my red hoodie. it was excessively large and worn out, but that's why you loved it.

i threw the hoodie on, and closed the door. we both began crossing the street toward the park. seeing the darkness terrified me. i guess he noticed because he rubbed my shoulder reassuringly. anyone would've thought we were best friends.

THIRD PERSON

while mei thought about how to start conversation, jonah thought about what to do to make sure they stayed in communication.
