"Sarah?"
Spoke worriedly the ghost and I gulped, with my heart beating faster in anxiety. The more I looked into her empty white eyes and the gap in the middle of her neck, the more creeped out I became. But seeing her obviously troubled face made me for some reason rather depressed.
"It's going to be okay, right?"
"H-hello...," I began with a stutter as my eyes turned to look down at the soil on the ground, "I'm so sorry to say this but I-I don't really...," I panicked, my hands grabbing tightly my shirt in fear and anxiety.
"Ahh this is insane..."
"So it's actually true... You really did lost your memories...," spoke sadly the ghost. Her pale hands forming into tight fists and her lips closed together, forming a thin line, "But it's okay," she shook her head and reached her hand towards me, "We'll start from the beginning. I'm Katana," she introduced herself and I hesitantly shook her hand, "Your friend over there told me about your condition. I didn't believed him at first, but after seeing you here now..."
"I see...," I voiced softly and the ghost by the name Katana gave me a gentle sorrowful smile.
"It's okay... I'm just glad to see that nothing worse happened to you," she spoke and then turned to face David, "It looks like you were actually telling the truth."
"I wouldn't lie for such a matter," replied coldly David and I narrowed my eyes in deep thought.
"Do you two know each other?" I questioned and Katana shook negatively her head.
"Not really. I just met him yesterday and he told me about your condition. He didn't gave me any further information," said Katana with a sigh as she folded tightly her arms together.
"Because that would be unnecessary," retorted David and I was quite taken aback by his harsh behavior.
"Still...truth be told, without his reassurance, I would be already dying again from worrying so much about you. At least he isn't someone you don't know, right?" Katana asked back and I rubbed skeptically the back of my head.
"Not really...," I replied hesitantly as I stole a glance to see David who was looking back at me with a curious gaze, "...I trust him to some degree." I finished with a sigh and David's face turned into a playful one.
"So you still don't trust me? I'm quite hurt...," spoke David while placing a hand over his heart for emphasis. His eyes glimmering mischievously as his stone faced expression turned into a smirk.
"Hey, I didn't say that I don't trust you," I laughed playfully as I turned to face him with one of my own smirks, "...For now at least."
A few seconds passed and David kept staring at me with sightly widened eyes. After a moment later, his next words came out as a mumble, "Why you must hurt me this way..."
"Huh? Did you said something?" I teased and David shook his head, his arms crossed and his eyes sharply narrowed in amusement.
"Who knows...," he replied, knowing fully well that I had heard him and that only caused my smirk to widen. Just when I was about to reply to him, Katana started laughing which took both mines and David's attention to her.
"I see... You two seem quite close," voiced Katana with a smile and I deadpanned.
"Do we now?"
"Sorry if my assumption wasn't right, but I am only saying what I see," she chuckled, raising one hand to cover her mouth.
"There is no way I would be close to a creep like him," I blurted while crossing my arms in defense.
"Really now?" questioned blankly David and I rolled my eyes.
