Maybe Ashton cried a little when he found out that Calum had a boyfriend.
It had been about a week or two since Ashton first talked to Calum.
When Ashton stalked Calum he never saw Calum with a guy, he never mentioned a boyfriend when ever they talked.

Calum tried convincing himself that the only reason why he was talking to Ashton was because he felt bad for the kid.
From what he had learned Ashton didn't have any friends and simply didn't like people besides Calum.
So Calum figured why not talk to him because it's not like he likes Ashton or anything like that. He simply felt bad for him, Ashton was just his stalker that he occasionally talked to.
And maybe when he realized how close him and Ashton were getting he made a horrible lie saying that he had a boyfriend.
And Calum just pretended that he didn't see the other boys face slowly drop and that beautiful smile that he finally got fimilar with was replaced with a frown.
