Chapter 2.):"Shocking Discoveries." Date Written: Nov. 5th, 2004.
Chapter Summary: Unpleasant discovery results in genuine friendship and bonding.
I woke up in Kennedy's bed after snuggling with her to calm her down, and I had a suspicion about what'd happened- I wanted to verify those guesses. Perhaps Kennedy's mystery novels are rubbing off on me, I don't know. But I do know that I got up after the maids woke us up, and I quietly made my way to my room to get dressed. I had to plan this out right, and had found out I was to be aiding in training Kennedy- that'd be fun, but perhaps not so wise, considering our close bond. After cleaning myself up and getting dressed, I headed in to get myself a breakfast.
Well, then it hit me, check the family finances; so I needed a diversion... and Kennedy's great for that! It'd take some bargaining to get her to comply, I mused, but this'd work out right. After promising to do some favors for her I managed to get her to agree to distract our parents, and I headed into the office quietly. Some searching through things later I found the records, and my guess was right, but to a degree I hadn't grasped: her mom, whom I might actually see as my stepmom, is being made to pay child support to my mom after she stole Kennedy's mom's family! That B*tch! I thought angrily about this injustice; I had no chance against her, but I could be a proper sister to Kennedy and soothe her about this most unfair treatment!
I was upset, and I knew that with Kennedy's temper, I'd have to break this to her carefully; so what I did was to take her aside and begin to style her hair, I remember it to this day: double-braids, a dutch-braid-style of a type. I was kneeling behind her as she was looking through a beauty magazine that I had talked her into looking through. I'd helped her out with picking out her outfit in the morning, but that discovery was a real shock and real upsetting, and it hurt, a lot!
Sincerely your playmate, my journal;
Jessie.
P.S. More to Come.
