Project #1 Concept: Freen, (25 F) thai actress impulsively booked a ticket to  UK to escape her reality. She bumped in to Becky's life (20 F)— from a rich family, a college Psychology student, that has great passion on her studies. They have opposite personality and beliefs that somehow made them perfect for each other. 🥰

This is a stand alone short story that is part of the Project Series.

Part 1

Freen is looking at the window where she saw the sea of clouds, her mind is wondering if the sky will be brighter when she reached her destination. She sighed and roll the windows down.

"No matter what the color of the sky in there, I think it will be better than the sky in Thailand." She said quietly as she shut her eyes to silence the noice inside her head.

She has been the talk of the town for almost a year now in Thailand because of some ridiculous rumor that affected her mind and soul so much that she impulsively buy a one way ticket to UK, with no plans or whatsoever.

She's been acting for 5 years now, and all her series hit 2 or 1 spot in ratings. She has a lot of endorsements too but she is not the brightest star yet... she has potential but because of the rumors and continues backlash, her career is always on the rocks and tested. She always dodge everything but this recent rumors... she is lost. She needed to run and wanted to be free again.

"Becky, are you done with your paper?" Dad asked as we enter the hotel where my family manages.

"Yes, I turn it over last night."

"I am not talking about your Psychology paper. I mean the case study for business plan that I asked you last year."

"Oh! That one."

There was silence after that.

Becky did not forget about the business plan but she will always pushed it further away from her tasks that she don't have time to do it anymore.

"Sorry, Dad. Its just that, I have so many things to do now that I am about to graduate." She knows that she is making up excuse again but she said it anyway.

"Beck, I know that business is not an area of interest but I was hoping that you would still give it a try. At least make something for me to read on. Okay?"

She nods to her Dad.

"I will not force you to take up on our business, think of it as a learning venue for you just like sports or psychology."

"Okay, Dad. I already had it started but I need more time to finalize it."

Her Dad beamed a smile. "Alright. I will wait then."

"Sir, excuse me. Mr. Chen, waiting you on the phone."

Becky is relieved to hear that from his secretary 'cause that means her Dad will be distracted from work and she can mind her own stuff in the corner. She saw her Dad picked up the phone and she happily dashed to her little corner.

It was about 20 minutes later when her Dad approached her again and asked, "are you free this afternoon?"

"Uhm. Yes? Why?"

"Can you fetch this young lady from the airport and bring her to la verde?"

Her eyebrows immediately arched. "Uhm. No. Why me?"

"She is a daughter of one of my good friend in Thailand. She needed some good rest thats why she is here."

"And so? I don't understand, why me? Don't you have other staff to do that."

"No. Can't really do that. She is Thai actress and most of our staff is Thai so you are the only one that I can trust so the information will not leak to the media."

That is weird but it somehow makes sense...

"Just this one, Beck. I will not ask you to turn that stupid business plan if you do this for me."

And that is the only thing she needed to hear as she stood and swing her hand in front of her Dad's.

"Well, sir! You have a deal."

"Great! And she is around your age so I guess you two will be fine." He said as he accepted a shake hands from his daughter to seal the deal.

"Yeah! Thats cool. Does she speaks thai or english?"

"Uhmmm.."

"It doesn't matter." She said smiling. "I will make it work even if I need to sign language or google translate."

"Thats my girl! Thank you so much. This means a lot to me."

"I got you Dad!"
