"Dad, I'll be in la verde. Just send me the google location later for the camping. I'll bring Freen with me tomorrow, okay?" Becky said as she loads her bags to the car trunk.
"Not a problem to me. I will just mention that to your Mom later." He smile as he tap her shoulders. "Lately you've been so happy. And you are always in la verde, do I need to prepare for some announcement tomorrow?" He asked teasing his daughter.
"Hmm.. not really. I don't want to take away Mom's moment tomorrow. Let save it for some other day." She said openly.
"Oh my dear. Just be extra careful this time okay? I don't want to see your heart broken." He paused for a bit as if debating to continue.
"Just spill it out. I'm all ears." She was raised with both parents that is straight forward in communication thats why she also prefers the direct kind of communication. She is prepared on whatever it is, she is always open to listen and communicate.
"Freen will eventually fly back to Thailand and you still have one more semester to get your degree. Things might start to get complicated after that." He said in warm tone. He just want to laid out the reality to his daughter before it gets further than it should be. "I trust that you already thought about this, but I just want to remind you to brace yourself for the impact."
Becky nods her head.
"Don't worry, Dad. I am not afraid to get hurt this time."

"Do you like sea or mountain?"
"I prefer mountain."
"Great! I am excited. I hope you enjoy this trip!" Becky exclaimed as they drive to the mountains of West coast.
"This is one of my family tradition. We hike and camp every special occasion. I'm glad that you get to experience this with us."
"Yeah me too. Glad that I'm finally outside the la verde gates." She chuckled. "And happy to see the mountains."
It was a 3 hour drive when they finally arrived to their destination. They meet Becky's parents in the station, it was a nice and quick exchange of pleasantry and they move on to gearing themselves up for a hike.
"Are you all set, Freen?" Mrs. Armstrong asked with a pleasant smile to her.
"Yes, ma'am! Becky prepared all of my stuff. I have nothing to worry about." She is a little bit intimidated as it is only her and Becky's Mom in the room.
"Great! Then we have to go."
"Ah, yes!" She replied.
"Oh, I almost forgot. I-I have something for you. Just a small gift for your birthday." She reached her pocket and took out a small box.
Mrs. Armstrong opened the box. It is a bracelet with tulips design. Tulips are the celebrant's favorite flower.
"Nothing fancy. Just a happy birthday gift for you, and thank you again for letting me join here." She said mustering all of her courage to speak up.
"Are you my daughter's new girl friend?" She directly asked.
"Hmm .. Honestly, we did not had a conversation about that yet." She said trying not to faint with how this conversation is going.
"No, its okay. I'm just curios. So are you two dating?" She asked again. She just plainly asked it as if it is nothing more it than just plain curiosity.
Are we dating?
She take time to think first and answered, "Yes. Probably in between getting to know each other and dating."
"Oh, Okay got it! I don't know about you but Becky will never introduce someone like this if it is not special." She smile at her. "You know what I mean, right?"
"Yes, ma'am!"

"Dad, I think I know what you are doing right now." Becky said as she realized that her Dad is intentionally messing up with the maps. "Where is Mom?"
There was a sly smile on her Dad's face. "Don't fight me for this. Your Mom asked for a five minute alone time with Freen."
"No! You know that the last time she asked for that did not end up well, right?" She exclaimed and run towards the cottage.
"Oh come on! Freen is fine young lady. Your Mom will like her." He said trying to catch up with Becky's speed.
"I don't trust Mom for this." She mutter under her breath when they saw the door opened and the two lady emerged clinging their arms to each other.
"Mom?"
"Are you okay dear? Why are you running?"
"Freen, are you okay?" She asked instead.
"Yes, why?" Freen look confused and clueless.
"She is not running away Becky." Her mom said.
"And oh! There are two cabins for us at the end of the trail. You are free to use the other one with Freen." She said smiling towards her daughter.
