Dream let out a small gasp. Simultaneously he blinked, turned his body towards George, and stood up straight.
A little bit over kill, but that's what he was going for.

George laughed and also stood to face Dream. He wiped his eyes, "Don't know why you're so surprised, sure I didn't flat out say it— but," George rolled his eyes, "thought it was obvious."

"Not obvious enough." Dream breathed out. He turned and started up cleaning once more.
George started to go around picking up garbage to help some more.

"In that case," Dream started, "have you had any boyfriends?"

"Oh sure." George didn't stop cleaning.

After a little while of silence, Dream figured George wasn't going to go in more depth. So he continued the conversation by himself.

"Well, i've been around— you know?" Dream tried not to chuckle after saying that, but George's sudden laugh broke him.

They laughed together, "No, I don't know." George jokingly replied.

Finally they left it at that, and both finished cleaning.
George went ahead to the couch first. He sat down and the first thing he did was lift his hand up to his head.

"Ugh," He groaned, "My head hurts."

"Yeah?" Dream tied up the last garbage bag and walked over to sit next to George.

George leaned his head on the couch and faced Dream once he sat down, "Yeah."

Dream faced George and nodded, yet didn't say anything back.

"Thanks for staying." George kept his face towards Dream.

Dream pressed his lips into a thin line, and nodded his head some more. He gradually turned his head towards the door.
He could still feel George's stare.

"Alright," Dream clapped and stood up, "It's almost three, I need to get home now."

Dream heard the couch squeak from George standing up as well.
"Wait," George stepped up next to him.

Dream faced him and raised his eyebrows signaling George to continue.

"Wanna do me a favor?"

Dream smiled, "Wow, another one? I'm good at these." He quipped.

George shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"No, idiot, I was going to ask if maybe once Ponk leaves— um maybe I could stay with you?" He slightly squinted his eyes waiting for the answer.

"No."

George's eyes widened without a second to wait.

"Oh—" He started.

Whatever George was about to say was interrupted by a loud wheeze. Dream seemed to double back, having to put his hand on his stomach for support.

He wiped a fake tear, "George, I got you so good, Oh my god."

"You're so annoying." George looked down.

"Nooo no," Dream breathed out, "Listen, how about we just get a new house? I'll be your roommate there, yeah?"

George looked up and smiled immediately. He nodded.

"You for it?"

"All for it, Clay."

time skip because who has time for details

Not even 2 weeks later, Dream and George are hauling their owned boxes into their new house. Dream purposely bumping into George once passing each other on the path towards the door. And George almost falling over every time.

After a couple of loads, both men fall to the ground of their basically empty living room.
They exchanged nice laugher once hitting the floor, turning on their backs to wipe the sweat from their foreheads.

Dream propped himself up on his elbow, head in hand, to face George.
"By the way, my mom said she wanted to come over and cook something as a— stupid congratulations or something." Dream smiled down at George.

George laughed some more, "Oh shit! I'm meeting your mum!" He exclaimed sarcastically, "We're moving a bit fast don't you think."

George's remark made Dream wheeze, "Stop, you say that like we're dating."

They both laughed together. Moments like this made Dream extremely happy to start this next chapter with George. Even if they were just friends, they acted a certain way that made Dream happy. It was funny.

George propped himself up as well, and they shared a very comfortable stare. Unknowingly both thinking about their own future together.

Smiling.

"Would it be weird— if we kissed right now?" George broke the silence with a question.

A question that Dream didn't verbally answer at first. Instead, he stretched out his hand that wasn't holding himself up, and brought it towards George. He smiled and cupped George's jaw.

"No," He whispered.

They both slightly leaned in for a kiss. And that's what they got. A short, but extremely sweet, kiss.

The end.
