It was now lunch time at John Adams middle school.

Everything seemed pretty normal and ordinary.

Except for Lucas friar.

Lucas got his lunch from the lunch lady and started walking to his usual spot.

He was walking towards a table when he got stopped.

He looked down to see Maya holding his arm.

"Hey handsome I saved a seat for you." She said flirtatiously.

"Uh thanks." Lucas said, setting his stuff down.

The table was just Maya and himself.
No sign of Riley and Farkle.

They ate lunch and Maya scooted closer to him.

"So I was thinking... We hang out after school." Maya said.

Lucas nodded. "Okay... If you want to."

"Of course! Why wouldn't I?"

"I mean... Don't you want to invite Riley and Farkle too?"

Maya looked confused. "Who are Riley and Farkle?"

The bell rang and students started standing up.

"What do you mean?" Lucas said, standing up.

Maya didn't answer. "Sorry, I gotta go to class! See you later."

She blew a kiss and walked away.

Lucas just stood there, thoughts whirling through his head.

What was going on?

Maya was flirting with Lucas and she didn't know who Riley and Farkle was.

Lucas took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

Please tell me this was all a dream.

The warning bell rang and Lucas opened his eyes.

It wasn't a dream.

The shooting star worked.
