A few weeks passed and I still hung out with Monay just about every day after school. Sometimes Dani would come with us and sometimes she wouldn't. Me and my mom still argued a lot but eventually I learned how to just tune her out and not even say anything back. One weekend, I was at Monay's house hanging out and I got a call from Dani. Monay: "Who's that?" Me: "Dani." Monay: "Aye put it on speaker" I answered and said "Heyyy. Wassup bestie." Monay: "Daniii!" Dani was on the other end bawling her eyes out then she said "Ailani where you at?" Me: "Monay's house.. what's wrong? What happened?" Dani: "Can you please come over? I needa talk to you."

Me: "Uh... Yeah sure." Dani: "You can bring Mo too.." Monay: "Say less. We onna way" Dani: "Okay... Thank y'all" She hung up and I said "Who tf got my bestie cryin? I'm finna beat some ass" Monay: "Shidd imma jump in too. I only knew y'all for bout a month but I'm close wit y'all." Me: "Come on" Monay: "Ight gimme a minute." She ran upstairs then her mom walked thru the door with Monay's siblings behind them. Nicole: "Hey boo!" Me: "Hi." Nicole: "Where's MoMo? Did she leave you by yo self?" Me: "Nahh. We was bout to head over to Dani's house. She asked us to come over." Nicole: "Oh okay. Y'all go put them groceries up now."

Monay came back downstairs then she said "Mama imma be out for a lil bit." Nicole: "Ailani told me. Don't be out too long okay? Imma call you when it's time to come inside." Monay: "Ight. Come on" We walked out and Monay said "I hope Dani ight." Me: "Me too. It's prolly something wit her dad" Monay: "Or Tairiq" Me: "I swear if he did something imma beat his ass" We walked to Dani's house and I didn't see either one of her dad's cars out front. I knocked on the door and I heard Dani yell "I'm coming!" She opened the door about 2 minutes later and threw her arms around me. She had mascara all over her face and she started crying again. Me: "What happened?" Dani: "Y'all come in.."

We walked in and upstairs to her room and she plopped on the bed and sighed. Me: "Soooo?" Dani: "It's Tairiq's fuckin dumbass" Monay: "What he do?" Dani: "Um... So like basically we had sex a few weeks ago and-" Me: "Dani I stg if you pregnant by him." Dani: "What? No.. No. Okay look Lani you know dis already. He was the first nigga I already had sex wit. So over the past few weeks he been ignoring me a lot, posting other girls, and he stood me up at the movies" Me: "Whatchu mean?" Dani: "Y'all sit down cus it's a lot." Monay sat on the end of the bed and I sat behind Dani and let her put her head in my lap. I rubbed her head and she said "We had a date at the movies and when I got there, he never showed up. He wasn't answering his phone or nun. He ignored me for 3 days straight and texted me like nothing happened. Whenever I bring it up, he says I'm trippin and he don't like it."

Monay: "He a bitch." Dani started crying harder then she said "And now... I called him today and asked him why he been doin me the way he has and he was like "Quit fuckin callin me, blah blah blah" so I was like "Why? We talkin and bout to be inna relationship. You had sex wit me and allat." and..." She kept crying and I said "I'm getting pissed off." I rubbed her shoulders and she said "I am too... I hate dat he got me cryin. I'm cryin cus I'm pissed tf off. Anyways.. He told me that what we did was a one time thing and he don't want a relationship wit nobody..." Me: "I'm finna beat his fuckin ass" Dani: "Ailani no just-"

Me: "No Dani. What he did was wrong and you know it. You not posed to do dat typa shit to somebody." Monay: "Did he know you was a virgin?" Dani: "Yeah.." Monay: "Mhm dats prolly why he was so persistent bout fw you before y'all had sex. I had a cuppa male friends where I used to live dat used to do shit like dat to females. I aint like it but they aint listen. They would make a girl feel all special, take her virginity just cus they knew the girl would get attached then they'd ghost em just how he did Dani" Me: "Fuck him" Dani: "His dick wasn't even dat big...
