The winds were howling, rain pouring from the sky as though it was crying. If the railing wasn't here, I'm sure we would've been blown off the top of the Empire State building. I knew it was foolish to be standing up here, but I knew it was the only way to meet him. The crazy man of the city, Asher Symphony. No longer was he holding the sign that said "they are coming". It was only a weeks ago that I found out his name and that he was the same age as me. " Asher!" I yelled over the winds. He turned away from the railing and turned to face me. "Do you see it? You see I was correct!" He shouted with glee. "Asher, come inside! Its not safe out here!" I yelled back.
He only smiled at me and shook this head. "Why go inside when I can them a waking from their slumber?" He asked. "Who Asher? Who's slumber?" I yelled in confusion. "The Lost Ones!" He said. He can't be serious. The lost ones are just an old wives tale to scare people into listening to them. "Asher, that's just an old wives tale! They aren't real!" I said. He laughed once more, "then how do you explain what's happened over the lasts few weeks? What the wives said was true!" He said. "If you don't believe me, look through the telescope, at the ocean, their rising!". I slowly walked forward, pushing against the wind with all my might. He reached out a hand and I grabbed it and was pulled towards him.
I grabbed the telescope and looked towards the sea. " I'll be damned." He was correct. There, in the middle of the raging sea, a oddly shaped platform was rising, four figures on it. I couldn't really see them that well, but even from here, you could feel that they radiated evil. "It was only a matter of time!" Asher said. "Soon, this world you know noe will be gone!" He said with so much glee, it was hard to believe that this man was talking about the same beings...
