after I got dressed I walked downstairs ready to cook breakfast for the brats I call my kids, as well as get them dressed when I felt something or.... someone grabs my leg, now when I was younger I would have blown the offending child sky high but these children.... these darn children, I just- I can't do it they've grown on me! so all I did was pick him up and walk towards the kitchen, coarse on the way there I had dumped the ravanett on the couch, but let's ignore that little tidbit,
I walked into the kitchen with Li trailing behind me, and was emedietly met with a jumping yu, screaming "BECKFEST, BECKFEST, BECKFEST!" eventually being joined by her sister, my eye twitched a little "SHUT UP YA LITTLE BRATS!" I yelled for I knew from experience that, that was the only way for them to calm down, they shut up mid-scream
"that's what I thought" I picked up both yu and li and put them in their chairs, "wait," I told them and got started on some pancakes I sparked the wood with a small explosion poping on my palm and opend the curtens to let in ome light, I put the pan on the stove and started to cook I had some leftover mix that I had made a wile ago as I cooked I heard yu start to play a game of x's and o's with li and by the time I finished cooking li cheering had filled the kitchen wile yu pouted
just like her mother used too I shook my head, don't think about her, not with the kids around, I quickly schooled my face into its normal relaxed face "hey brats, pancakes!" both kids perked up as I placed their plates on the table, and started to spread butter on them, and that was when I heard it, it was faint but it was getting louder
it was a sound I was familier with, really femilier with, explotions "kids!" I said, "you both need to go to the basement, NOW!" "why?" asked yu, oh yu, so innocent and sweet, but nevermind that, I picked her up and yelled at li to fallow, the explosions were getting larger and now it didn't even take trained ears like mine to hear it,
I ran downstairs and quickly put Yu in the little fort that they find comfort in, "sit" I ordered li rushed in and sat down with her sister "you need to stay here ok?" the children nodded, I turned and ran, ones outside I felt considerably hotter and it's a good thing I had shut my hearing aids off because it would probably be like SSSSSSSKKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! ya, it would hurt the explosions kept coming and it made me wonder who the *fudge* is doing this?
I shot myself into the air (i still train you to think I'm gonna go rusty just because I'm 25?) knowing with all the explosions no one would see me because they would either be dead, injured, or inside and I would blend in with all the other explosions I fell to the ground, ready for a fight, the ground was shaking I might be able to use that I ran over to a corner following the explosions not caring that I don't have a hero licence or anything all i want is to get rid of the *darn* villain
but when I turned the corner I saw someone I haven't even thought about since I left, since he basically destroyed my already shredded hero career,
why is my life so hard?
