I'm working in back when suga taps me on the shoulder. I turn around to face him and he smiles. "There's a kid asking to see you tadashi." He says in a cheery tone and I smile.
"Thank's for letting me know. You guys got everything covered right?"
"Yeah I think we do."
"Okay. I'm gonna take a break." He nodded and I took off m apron and went out front to see Takashi waiting at a table. I slide in across from him.
"Hey! You doing okay?"
"Yeah, I just-" He sighed. "My mom was being a bitch and I needed to leave for a few minute's before I punched her."
"Understandable. Me and my grandma had moment's like that sometimes."
"What about your parent's?"
"My mom was a druggie from what I hear from my grandma, and my dad was an alcoholic. My grandmother got custody of me when I was really little, and I don't know what they look like."
"Lucky. My mom's a total bitch. I wish my dad was here still. He was the only one who could keep her in check."
"Oh? What happened to him?"
"Car crash five years ago."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that."
"It's fine. I just wish my mom wasn't the way she is. I just want her to chill out with the homophobia. She think's she's entitled to everything at any time, and that the world revolves around her. I can't even talk to people who swing that way, and she disowned my sister for being lesbian, and wouldn't let her back until she coverted to the ways of god and 'prayed away the sins she's commited' and then 'finds a good boyfriend.'" He said in air quotes, to which I laugh a bit. "She was only 16."
"What happened to her?"
"She moved in with her girlfriend. That was about two years ago. She's still in contact with me, and from what I heard, they got engaged."
"Aww that's sweet."
"I don't want to see my mom. I wanna be there with my sister when she gets married, but I can't without ruining her wedding day if my mom comes with me." He scoffed. "Hell, I can't even tell this guy I like him."
"I had a feeling." I said honestly. He shrugged.
"I'm terrible at hiding it. If my mom finds out, I'm dead."
"Hey, I'm sure it'll be fine. It'll all work out, okay? I'm sure of it." We ate some sweets while he just let it all out. His mom getting on his nerves, how he misses his sister, how he wished his dad was still here, and even rambled a bit about how much he loved his dog, and couldn't wait for the next sream from his favorite streamer, ken_kitty_7789. I chuckled at that.
"What's so funny?"
"It's nothing, it's just, I know him."
"Isn't he so cool! His streams are always so funny to watch."
"No, that isn't what I ment. I know him, in real life." His eyes widened. "His boyfriend is a co-worker with mine. We went on a triple date with another couple at the office. He's a cool guy, kind of shy though."
"Kuroo likes to interrupt his streams, making him laugh, kiss attacks, tickles, food, or just comes in the door yelling 'kennmaaaa I want attentiooonnnn!'" He laughed. " He always rolls his eyes and tells him to sit down, and then he's picked up and put in his lap. But if my mom found me watching she'd smash all my devices."
"Question, is your mom okay in the head?" He laughed.
"I don't think she is." We continued joking until I had to go back to work. Tadashi went home so him mom wouldn't try to find him, and I reminded him he could always come back if he needed to.
"If I'm locking up and you come, I'll leave the place open for a little longer so we can chat, okay?" He nodded. "Good, now run along. You don't want your mom going crazy." Ne nodded and ran off.
I hope he'll be okay.
