Bored: Chapter 1

"Argh!" I groaned, slowly opening my eyes.

I was on the floor of the TARDIS, I'm not sure which room, surrounded by streamers and with an intense headache.

Someone sat up next to me. They were covered in frosting and glitter, I stifled a laugh as I realized it was Jack.

"My head!!!" he complained, "This is worse than when I drank six bottles of Vodka at last years Christmas party!"

I had fuzzy memories of last night, The Doctor making glitter bombs, Jack challenging me to a shot drinking contest, and something with a penguin.

The doctor waltzed in, whistling. "I bet you two feel like crap." he remarked.

I glared at him and tried to stand up. The room began spinning and I fell over.

He gave me a cup if blue liquid, "Hangover cure, I invented it five minutes ago."

I downed it in one gulp and immediately felt better. "Thanks." I said, pecking him on the cheek.

"Anything for you Giver." he said smiling.

Then he tossed a vial at Jack, who drank it and ran out of the room to shower.

The three of us sat down in the kitchen together, eating the pancakes I had made.

"So doctor" Jack said, "what's today's adventure."

He smiled and ran his fingers through his hair, "I thought you'd never ask!"
He jumped up and began talking a mile a minute.

"So while you two were conked out on the floor, I added a new feature to the TARDIS!"

"What does it do?" Jack asked, his mouth full of pancake.

"I was getting to that! It allows us to visit parallel worlds, but only for one trip there and back."

All the places we could go ran through my mind. "We could visit Rose!!" Jack said.

The doctor's smile faltered, "She's with other me now Jack, best leave her alone." he glanced at me.

"Anyway, I have a friend I want you to meet that I think you'll love!"

Real smooth subject change there Doctor.

"Ooh! What planet are we going to?" I asked

"Earth, early 2000's, London." he said, "That's where he lives ."

Jack and I exchanged a look, the last time the doctor had said that we were going to visit 'an old friend' we ended up on a Sontarin ship in the midst of a huge war, Jack had died at least twice.

"Okay, so maybe meeting my last friend didn't turn out so well." the doctor admitted, "But don't worry, this time the most danger we'll be in is from a murderous evil mastermind."

"Not helping!" I muttered.

"W-whatever!" he spluttered "At least the mastermind will be human, and the worst he can do is shoot us. None of us can die remember?"

"I like this body!" I said indignantly, "Plus you aren't supposed to regenerate yet! I don't want you to become a bowtie wearing maniac with a fez addiction just yet."

He smirked, "Yeah, that guy's an idiot!"

Jack laughed, "Doctor, that 'idiot' is you!"

The Doctor and I both chose to ignore that comment.

"C'mon! Let's go! Allonsy!" he yelled, running into the console room and pressing buttons. The room began to shake as we started to fly.
