A Human Just Like Me is presented from a student's POV. It is also related to our pandemic situation. This one has certain similarities to the previous one. I actually wrote this one as Sunrise after a Dark Night but I thought this one doesn't fit the concept that I'm going for Sunrise after a Dark Night. I actually like them both so I decided to post this one as well.
Engulfed in the darkeess
trapped in my room
staring at the screen,
The voice of the figure
I used to hear in my classroom
is now echoing
through the space I live in.
A hint of frustuation
and small sigh
escaped from her lips.
I wonder what we did wrong
When she was the one
invading my home.
Four words escaped her lips.
None of us could foresee
"I miss you guys"
She muttered through the screen.
A small gasp escaped my lips.
Disappointed I was
how easily
I have forgotten,
She's just a human.
Just like me.
