He walked closer his face showing as the moonlight hit him perfectly his honey-colored eyes, and brown hair showed as he smirked under a mask at me.
"Ah well you see I can't do that, the trouble your causing will make returning you quite profitable for me...."
Before I knew it, he was behind me, and I was seeing the ground as my vision faded. When I woke, I was laying on my stomach slung over the back of Malik, as I looked around, I quickly noticed we weren't in the woods anymore and the sun was coming up.
"Mmm!" I tried speaking being cut off by a rag that was tied around my mouth and realizing my wrist were tied too.
"Ah good mornin' princess sleep well?" the stranger from before chuckled mocking me.
I huffed thinking before kicking around slowly sliding off the back of Malik only to be grabbed by my belt and yanked back on.
"Sorry matchstick can't have you running off and ruining me getting my money" I rolled my eyes at the name realizing we were off my land by now and heading towards a small section of houses in the middle of nowhere.
'Shit this is where I die, I need to get out of here' As we arrived, he pulled his and my horse into a set of stables picking me up I took this as my moment, kicking him right in his crotch.
He groaned dropping me as I quickly stood booking it out of the stables and through the section of houses.
"Damn it grab her you idiots" I heard him shout at some people, but I was a lot faster than them as I heard them far behind me.
I quickly slipped my wrist from their ties and yanked the rag off my face panting and rushing into the field we just came through. I smiled seeing the forest edge in the distance close to my escape reaching for it only to be snatched onto the back of a horse again.
"No let go let me down!" I beat whoever it was holding me only to be hit on the back of the head blacking out again.
'No... don't sleep...'
When I woke again, I smelled wet stone and mud opening my eyes and looking around groaning at the headache I had. Looking around I didn't recognize my surroundings shooting up to be tugged back down by my wrist tied onto a bed. I sat up slowly to see the stranger standing on the other side of some bars.
"You caused quite the ruckus princess would have been a shame if you got away" his mask was off now as he smirked.
"W-where the hell am I and who the fuck are you..." He smiled more.
"You're under my village the names Jason, princess Diella now I'd like to make a deal~" I looked at him watching him closely just nodding.
"Good, it seemed like you were very eager to get away from home. How about I let you out of this gross place as long as you say you'll stay here I won't even turn you in"
'yet' I thought to myself
"How do I know I can trust you... you said before you'd turn me in for money then you took me here..." he paused then began speaking
"Well, I can tell you you'd be safe here and they won't find you maybe even soon ill figure out why you ran away do we have a deal?"
"What other choice do I have yes I agree" he smiled opening the cell coming in and untying my wrist.
"Good girl, now let's go see Francis and she can get you some food and clean clothes"
My face flushed as I walked up some steps from the cell with him, we exited out of the floor of a house it closing behind us. I looked around to see two tall men standing by the door and a blond-haired lady that was a bit taller than me standing by the table she smiled pulling a chair out.
"Come sit miss I promise the food isn't poisoned" I sat she seemed trustworthy from behind me I heard a smack jumping a bit only to see it was the lady smacking Jason in the head.
"What did I tell you about treating lady's right! look at her she's covered in dirt and her hairs a mess" I giggled a bit to myself as I heard her bicker at him eating the food that was in front of me as my stomach growled hungerly.
"H-how long was I out?" I questioned after my bowl was empty the lady turned to me smiling.
"It's mid-day so you were out for most the morning miss" I nodded standing.
"c-could I change somewhere" She smiled pulling out a dress from a cabinet in another room.
"Yes, dear feel free to use the tub in the bathroom to clean up and change into this then we will show you where you'll be staying" I thanked her quickly walking to the bathroom she pointed to shutting the door.
'God Diella what have you gotten yourself into now' I slowly stripped out of my clothes wincing sore as I stepped into the tub sitting there and hugging my knees and I thought to myself and cleaned up.
~half an hour later~
When I stepped out and got dressed, I was surprised at how well the pale blue dress fit me I quickly brushed out my hair to the best of my ability and stepped out the door. When I came out, they were standing by the door talking and I cleared my throat to get their attention. When I cleared my throat, they all turned and looked at me and I looked down for a moment.
"Oh, dear that color looks lovely on you I'm happy it worked out how do you feel?" Francis walked closer to me smiling.
"T-thank you. I would like to go look around and see my horse if that's alright" Jason nodded walking towards the door.
"Come along matchstick" Fancies smiled at me as I walked out the door with Jason.
I looked around following him as we passed many houses and a small village square where people were selling items. after a few moments a set of stables came into room, and I could hear malik throwing a fit and freaking out as I rushed towards the stables to see two men trying to pull him along into a stall. As soon as he saw me, he shoved passed the men pulling them onto the ground running to me pushing his snout into my shoulder. I pet him hushing him and petting his head as he huffed.
"He doesn't like yall, you can't force a horse who isn't yours to do something against its will" i fed him a sugar cube leading him into the stall with no trouble.
The men got up brushing themselves off with a huff as Jason laughed walking in.
"Wow yall really let a horse embarrass yall, now matchstick you can't go running off like that I almost thought you were going to break our agreement" i rolled my eyes at him as he leaned against the stall.
"I was making sure my horse was okay since he sounded distressed, if he was hurt your men here wouldn't be men no more" I glared at them as I brushed out Malike's mane.
Jason just laughed rolling his eyes.
"Yeah, whatever princess I'll leave you here with your horse I have work to do, I have men watching you so don't try to run ill know" He then walked away I sighed sitting on the ground of the stall.
Malik huffed lying next to me setting his head on my lap i smiled petting his nose as i pulled a book out of his saddle bag and began reading to him.
"We will be safe here for now malik don't worry this won't be forever"
