As time went on many people had left the jet after getting to a safe area. Melina and Alexei went their separate ways from Yelena and us girls. Other Black Widow girls went off to live their lives away from all this mess, they wanted out of what they had been dragged into for most of their life, which is more than understandable.

There were 6 of us left. Yelena and I plus 4 other Black Widow girls that were also freed from the red room now. We all collectively decided we wanted to stay and help free the rest of the girls from the red room all across the world. 6 of us, capable of such heights. No. But we were going to try.

The girls' names were - Georgia, Anastasia, Sofia and Teresa. They all sat in the back of the jet while I had taken over driving it after the disperse of some others.

||An hour later.||

I gripped my hands around the jet controls, the most nerve wracking part was landing in an undisclosed location. Somewhere where we would take cover for a few days, courtesy of Yelena. I took a breath out and spoke loudly.

"Clear for landing."

Warning the other girls, some decided to strap on seat belts. I slowly brought down the bird and landed gracefully on a field. The grass flying up with the wind from the jet, almost making a circle where I was supposed to land.

As I shut down the controls, I released a breath. I was trained to not show emotions in these areas but I was finally not afraid too. Quickly covering up any nervousness I stood up and opened the door, stepping onto the field and allowing in my surroundings. As I gazed across the field with a single house in the middle of it a little away, the sun glared into my eyes and before I could react. I felt a hand on my shoulder, turning my head and I saw Yelena. She was standing there with her well presented posture and white snow suit.

"Well we didn't crash and burn but we are staying in a small place." Yelena said and let go of my shoulder, her hand flopped to her side and she started walking off towards it.

I waited till everyone was out and followed behind Sofia. Sofia was a tall brunette with very distinctive features, she was extremely talented in seemingly everything she did. My main competition was her back in the red room. I caught up to her with hasty walking and stood next to her as we continued walking along.

"What made you stay?" I questioned her as my eyes stayed forwards, not even turning towards her features.

"Hope." She said towards me and then sped up towards the rest of the group.

My head slowly turned towards her as she sped off, my mind clouded with what she had just said. I had never heard that single word before, was it true? I couldn't process it. Everything set in, Dreykov was gone, we were free. There is hope for everyone who was ever involved in the red room forcefully.

"Hope." I repeated in a low whisper voice to myself.

I sped up towards the group, running in the field felt like a painting. The cold air pressed towards my face as I passed most of the girls and put myself next to Yelena. I looked towards her as I slowed down.

"You gave us hope." I said and she turned towards me, stopping in her path. She gave me a wide eyed look, taking in my emotions. I engulfed her in a hug, feeling my body press against her suit, the rough exterior of the suit jabbed me but I didn't care. The numbness set in and I pulled away, not allowing myself a second more of this feeling.

"You gave that to yourself. I just jabbed a thingy into a helicopter." Yelena said in her usual sarcastic tone, motioning with her hands on how she stabbed the top of the helicopter. Her accent made it all the more worthwhile.

As we all made it to the house, cabin more like, Yelena opened the door and walked in.

"A friend's place, they don't need it anymore though." She said bluntly and dropped what she was carrying.

Everyone dropped their belongings and looked around the cabin. It was homey, like you went in the forest and never wanted to return. The furniture looked antique and the dust made it even more so antique. It was like no one had been here for years, not in a gross way but in an almost aesthetically pleasing way. There were few rooms but there were 2 beds, a couch and the floor so it was enough for us.

After what just unfolded we needed a few day break, time to rest up before we made any more plans.

||4 hours later.||

Everyone was asleep. Yelena and I were in the living room alongside Sofia and Georgia. The other two girls were in the bedroom.

I was fast asleep, I dreamt of all the terrors I had done with the red room. Blood dripped off my ledger. I saw myself stabbing someone repeatedly for information then I saw myself reciting the same steps over and over again to build up tolerance. My heart rate sped up as my dream continued, my chest tightening, my breath going faster. My body moved in the position I was in, screams in my head and my eyes flung open. I quickly shot up, gripping the edges of my blanket. My head rapidly turned and my breath picked up. I felt someone grip the side of me and my head flung around, still in a state of panic.

"Hey, you're okay. Just a bad dream, Y/N. Calm down." Yelena spoke towards me, she was crouched down and holding the side of my arm gently.

As I heard her voice, I regained myself, slowly realising I was okay. But was I really? I was safe, that's what I told myself. Yelena was a light sleeper, she had woken up just from my heavy breathing, it didn't seem like she had just woken up she was already alert. As my breathing calmed down and my eye site came back into view. Yelena slowly let go of my arm, she leaned back against the floor next to me, holding herself up by her arms.

"I get them too. It's okay." She spoke towards me reassuringly. I looked back and offered her a small smile. "It's hard the first few days, recognising what's real and what you did without your control." She said to me again bluntly as she gazed towards the floor, she was referring to how I only just came out of the mind control that plagued my entire existence.

"It feels like I don't know how to live, Yelena. Like all I know is the blood that drips from my past." I said with an emotional yet upkept tone.

"I know, I know." Yelena said towards me, it picked up pace the second time as she noticed my emotions. She reached her hand out and put her cold palm against the top of the back of my hand. As I felt her touch, I looked back more, this time into her eyes.

"I used to think I had a real family then I learnt it was a mission. But it felt real to me, it was the one part of normal life I got to experience. And I know it felt real to them in the end." Yelena said this slowly and paused afterwards. She looked down as she continued but kept her hand on mine. "My point is, if it feels real to you then there is no proper way on how you should live. It doesn't have to be normal, just know you're in control and that's what matters."

As I listened to her words, I felt more comfort surrounding me. The only thing that felt normal right now was her. I knew I wanted to be here, present in this moment, this was the direction I wanted to take. "Thank you." I spoke towards her slowly.

Yelena slowly pulled her hand away and nodded towards me. "No problem, Y/N. Have to keep us sane somehow." She said jokingly, her thick russian blunt tone noticeable. "It's hard taking the lead, where are the avengers, where's that one God everyone talks about. Or even Natasha, she's better at this than I am." She said this in a joking way but it had truth and soul in her wording.

"We will figure this out together, I know we will help the others." I said, meaning the other girls who are under their control. My head turned away from Yelena and I laid back down on the cushion as it sucked in my head. Yelena nodded and moved away back towards her spot before laying down.

"Are you finally done? Some of us haven't gotten a peaceful rest in years." Sofia said towards us after we had both laid down and stopped talking. Her thick russian tone audible with her annoyance.

A small laugh dispersed from my lips as well as Yelena's as we realised she was awake the whole time. And then silence as everyone went back to sleep and finally slept till morning with no troubles except the occasional talking in their sleep.
