Pan's P.O.V.

It was peaceful until I heard something behind us. Someone kicking a rock or something. I turned around but I didn't see anyone. Juliette turned around herself, trying to see what I was trying to find. "Peter, what are you looking at?"

"Did you not hear that?"

"Hear what?"

"Did you hear us?" Asked an all too familiar voice. A voice that made my blood boil whenever I even thought about it... Hook.

Juliette's P.O.V.

We turn around to look at the source of the voice. They were the group of pirates from earlier. The one standing in front wearing all black had to be the captain. I took a better look at him and I didn't see his left hand... because it wasn't a hand. It was a hook!

Wait a minute! Captain Hook! Wow, he looks different from the fairy tales. Well, so does Peter Pan and the other Lost Boys. It's interesting, when he doesn't look like a total goofball as he does in all the stories, he actually looks more intimidating. What is he doing here? I know that him and the Lost Boys are enemies, but because this is real and the stories and Disney have been wrong about everything so far, then things between Captain Hook and Peter might get a little more violent than what I know.

I didn't notice at first, but I didn't feel Peter's arm around me anymore. I look around a little until I see Peter standing right besides Hook and his pirates. His stance was so angry and his fist were balled. I didn't want to know where this was going.

"What might you be doing here, Hook?"

"Well I saw you and your..." He looked over at me and needless to say, I didn't like his stare. "pretty little girl from down below and I just wanted to know what you were up to with a girl. That's all." He finishes in a smug voice.

I looked at Peter and he clearly didn't like the way that Hook was talking or looking at me. "I hope you remember that I can wipe out you and your pathetic excuse of pirates with the flick of my wrist! I suggest that you be very wise and leave."

Hook only chuckled and looked back at Peter. "Oh, but you won't." He says calmly.

Out of nowhere, I felt someone from behind me pick me up from my spot and pull me up. I let out a little scream. Hook looks over giving me one of Peter's smirks and Peter looked frightened. I have never seen him like that. That frightened me. I look behind me to see that the pirate holding me was a short, chubby man with a big nose and a red beanie.

"No!" He screamed. He tried to make his way to me, but one of the pirates held him back while the pirate on me crossed my arms in the back, making it painful to try to move. "Let her go!"

"Oh," Hook started, satisfied at the situation. "the all powerful Peter Pan is begging. That's just priceless. Do it again."

"Let her go or I will kill your everyone here slowly and painfully!" Peter threatened.

"Now you wouldn't do that Pan, in risk of hurting your precious toy." Did he just call me a toy? The little fu-

"Just let her go! Okay Hook? Look at me, I'm begging!" I don't know why, but I hated seeing Peter so powerless like this. I hated that he had to bow down to this prick because he was protecting me. At the same time, butterflies formed in my stomach thinking of the fact that he was protecting me.

Hook thought about it for a minute before speaking again. "Alright." He ordered one of his men to let go of Peter. "Mr. Smee, let the girl go." Smee, I guess, let me go. I don't know why, but I ran into Peter's arms. He held me for dear life. He placed one hand firmly on my lower back and the other on my head keeping close to his chest.

"You should feel lucky, Pan." Hook said. "I might not be this night next time."

"And you should feel lucky if my boys and I don't find you during your stay, Hook!"

I didn't want to open my eyes. I was too scared. I felt him petting my head. "It's okay Juliette." He cooed. "We're gone." I slowly pulled my head away from his chest and looked up at him. I looked around and saw that we were back in the tree house.

I was doing my best to hold back my tears. "You can cry Juliette. It's okay, that was scary." I obligated and started to cry. He immediately brought me back to his chest. "Shh," He tells me.

"What would they have done to me?"

"It doesn't matter because I would never let them hurt you. They won't. I promise. Even if I die, I will find a way to make sure you are safe."

I didn't say anything. I didn't know what to say, but he didn't look like he was waiting for an answer. He just looked like he wanted to comfort me.

It was an awkward silence until Peter broke it. "How are you afraid of heights?" He asked.

I looked at him like he was crazy. "What?"

"I mean, you went to your roof every night to count stars. That didn't bother you, but when I took you to that cliff, you were totally scared to be there." He points out jokingly.

"I don't know. I'm just use to my roof, I guess." I giggled.

He giggled himself.

It was calming.
