Chapter 2: Hi ma'am

Hello, everyone! We’re back for Part 2. I hope you enjoy the story as things get a little more intense. Let’s dive in!

Yohan’s POV
I was on my way to my classroom, and to my dismay, who should I see sitting right there but the girl I nicknamed "Demon Girl." Lovely Bautista, my classmate. Just my luck.
Our teacher, Ms. Sanchez, was starting her lesson, but Lovely was obviously bored, sighing dramatically and rolling her eyes. Then, out of nowhere, she cut off Ms. Sanchez mid-sentence.
“Ma’am,” she said, loudly, her tone dripping with sarcasm, “just wondering—what kind of animals were your parents?”
Ms. Sanchez looked a bit taken aback but kept her cool. “They’re not animals, my dear. They’re humans, like everyone else,” she replied calmly.
Lovely let out a fake laugh. “Oh, I’m so sorry! I just thought maybe they were animals because, well, you kind of look like a monkey.” She smirked, eyeing Ms. Sanchez up and down. “I mean, no offense, but you’re a bit... chunky, like a pig, and your height? About the size of a lizard, right?”
The entire class went silent, shocked by her cruelty. Ms. Sanchez’s face dropped, and I noticed her eyes start to well up with tears. She took a deep breath and responded, “You know, Lovely, even if you have the ‘perfect’ appearance, it won’t mean a thing if your attitude is ugly.”
Lovely scoffed, undeterred. “Is that why you don’t have a husband, ma’am? It’s probably hard to get married when you look... like that.” She laughed, clearly pleased with herself.
I couldn’t take it anymore. “Lovely, that’s enough!” I shouted, furious.
“Oh, what’s your problem, Yohan? I’m just telling the truth here,” she sneered.
“There’s a difference between the truth and being plain mean. Do you ever consider other people’s feelings?” I shot back.
“Feelings? Why would I care? I’m doing everyone a favor by pointing things out,” she said. Then she turned back to Ms. Sanchez. “Honestly, you should be thanking me. This might motivate you to take better care of yourself. I’ll be expecting to see you looking more presentable tomorrow, ma’am.”
I shook my head in disbelief. “Wow. You’re just... unbelievable. You’d make a perfect lawyer for the devil.”
“Actually, that sounds fun, but I wouldn’t want to waste this face in the underworld,” she replied with a smirk.
I chuckled bitterly. “Oh, no worries. With your attitude, hell would suit you just fine.”
She leaned in closer, her expression amused. “If that’s what you think, fine, but I still believe Ms. Sanchez should be buried in the ground—to clear the world of the ugly ones,” she muttered under her breath as Ms. Sanchez hurried out of the room in tears.
As soon as she was out of earshot, Lovely clapped her hands together, feigning sadness. “Poor Ms. Sanchez... but oh well!” she said, shrugging.
“You know what, Lovely? You’ve gone too far,” I said, nearly yelling.
“Why are you so mad, Yohan? I haven’t done anything to you. Or is it because you have a crush on ‘BBO’?” she teased.
I rolled my eyes. “What’s BBO?”
“BBO stands for Baboy Butiki Unggoy—a.k.a., Ms. Sanchez! Come on, Yohan, use your common sense,” she said, laughing.
“Actually, I’ve got a nickname for you too. You’re BANS,” I shot back.
She looked at me with exaggerated interest. “Oh, really? You’re so sweet, Yohan. That must mean Babaeng Angat sa Natural na Sarili,” she replied, fluttering her eyelashes mockingly.
I laughed. “Not even close. It means Babaeng Anak ni Satanas—Daughter of Satan.”
“How dare you!” she snapped, then smirked. “But I’m still way out of your league.”
“Yohan, I wouldn’t go near you if you were the last man on Earth. And by the way, LMSBK suits you well too,” she said, trying to hold back a grin.
“Oh, please, Lovely. You’re so obvious. You like me, don’t you? LMSBK? That must stand for Lalaking Mahalaga Sa Buhay Ko,” I said with a smug smile.
“Actually, no,” she replied with a smirk. “It means Lalaking Malas Sa Buhay Ko—because you’re nothing but bad luck.”
I shrugged, unfazed. “Call it what you want, LMSBK, but don’t expect me to apologize to Ms. Sanchez. I never apologize to people I bully—especially when I’m simply stating the truth. But hey, a heads-up for you, Yohan—there’s a storm coming. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” With that, she let out a final laugh and sauntered off.
