I just made this on the spot! I didn't edit or revise, so just have fun reading! -Kelly

"Her eyes showed acceptance, though a tremble caused her to go pale. Her gaze averted from the
knife to my eyes, a tear running down her face. I read the understanding in her eyes as if it were to
be scribbled there with a marker. My body trembled at the thought of her limp body in my arms, so
lifeless and cold. The thought of her not breathing the sweet laughter of life, the thought of her smile
disappearing, saddens me. I could see--- feel every ache in her body urging her to run; though her
eyes told me she was confused. Her tender skin, the delicate structure of her body, so fragile like a
flower’s petal. Every touch, every smile, every second with her made me feel something new.
Something exquisite. Something like…love. A set of words nestled into my head she said to me so
many times, unable to comprehend. It was written all over her face, that word. That beautiful word
that felt like a curse. “I love you, Severin.” she said.
Then the knife plunged in."
“That was beautiful…” Erin sobbed, covering her face with her hands. I snorted. “Hardly. He killed
her, and he loved her. Why the hell would you do that?” I muttered in annoyance. She scowled at
me. “It was beautiful. He did it because she was going to be cursed for eternity. She would’ve been
in hell!” she cried.
“Whatever.” I mumbled.
“I agree with Madison, the guy’s a shallow dumbass.” Oliver muttered from behind me, jumping
from behind the couch next to me and kicked his legs up on top of the coffee table. He shot me an
‘I’m so beast’ grin. I shook my head, trying not to laugh.
“So how’s the arm?” he asked, nudging my now-totally healed arm. I shrugged. “Never been better.”
He nodded. “Cool, cool…”
It’s been a couple of weeks now, probably a little more than a month since I came back to the
school. Not much has happened, though, except Gage and I fell in love and now I’m pregnant with
his child.
No, no, that’s a joke.
Total joke.
He’s a D-Bag. Still.
You would think guys don’t hold grudges, right?
Yeah. No.
Gage has been full-on out to get me lately. It’s not even funny. Two days after we got let go
from the police station, he dumped milk all over me at lunch.
How original.
Up until three days ago, we’ve been getting at each other like jackrabbits on steroids.
With knives.
He gave me a concussion two weeks ago. I thought I was just hung-over until I looked at my pillow.
