The silence between both Tripp and the android, Alex, lasted only for a few seconds, but it felt like a painful forever.
"Alex.. Why are you trying to kill me? I thought we were friends!" Tripp barked, his voice shaking slightly. Sure, they had only just met, but he didn't do anything bad to her. He didn't want to fight a friend. That is, if she really was his friend. Clearly she wasn't.

Alex huffs a cold sneer as she clutches the gun tighter in her grip, "The galaxy has no need for scum like you. I have been ordered to find ones like you, and exterminate them. There is nothing between us except the killing shot that I will deal to you."

As she attempts to pull the trigger, Tripp swiftly yanks the gun from the android's grip, kicking her hard into a control panel behind her.
Stunned, the android shakes off the static in her head from the crash. Being surprised by such a reaction, she shifts her neck back into place, pulls out two long knives from her side.
She stands to face her opponent who was walking toward her. He clinched his fist as he snarled in return. "Fine then. But you're going to have to try alot harder than that."

Back in captain quarters, Kida, who was laying at the foot of Kyle's and Paris' bed, suddenly jerk her head up, alerted.
Her keen eyes look around the room, slowly becoming aware of the commotion from outside. She jumps off the bed and walks to the door, sniffing it. Something was wrong. Pinning her ears back, she runs and leaps back on the bed and starts biting and tugging on the Captain's sleep shirt.

Kyle groans and rolls over, pulling more blanket over him, clearly not having any of it, "Kida, go to sleep. Beauty sleep first."
The wolf dog snorts, ignoring such a comment and starts barking right in his ear. Human masters are too stubborn for their own good, wake up lazy two-legged!

Paris, lifting the pillow onto her head, mumbling groggily, "Kyle, just be glad we don't have kids."

Kyle tries to shove Kida off of him while sitting up a bit in the bed, "Kida, what's your problem? You never act like this- ..
unless.."
Immediately realizing what could be wrong, Kyle presses a button to a comlink on his nightstand, "Fedrick, wake up! Code green, we've got a situation!"
Staggering out out of bed with no grace, trying to put on appropriate battle clothes, or at least a pair of pants.. before running out of the room. Kyle follows after Kida, blaster in hand, to the Control Bridge.

Back on the control bridge, Tripp dodges the android's quick blades while blocking them with a piece of metal trim that he ripped out of the floor. 'She's not letting up at all.. What am I suppose to do?' he thought to himself.
'I get confident for one second and I dig myself deeper in trouble!'

The android had already gotten him twice with the blades. One on the arm, another other edge of his ear. Not enough to slow him down or be fatal, unfortunately on her part. But that doesn't mean he wanted to wait for her to actually get him good.
Suddenly, the alarm goes off in the room, with the flashing red lights of caution above them.
Realizing she had little time left and hearing the captain and Fedrick approaching the room, Alex drops her long blades and thrusts herself against Tripp, knocking them both into another panel. She was surprised at how strong he was against her. Even Fedrick would have a hard time holding out against her whenever he tried to best her in a spar. He was more of a gunman anyhow. Struggling against her target, she pulled out one more blade to finish the job.
Slowly watching the blade come down, Tripp's dark amber eyes widen as they change to a solid shade of faded yellow. He grits his teeth, making a deep growl in his throat. Thrusting his hand against her, a large surge of energy erupts through his body.

As Kyle runs into the room, he immediately dives down to the floor, dodging a large flash that lit up the entire room, which at the exact time, causes the ship's power to short circuit. Sparks shot across the ceiling and anything metal, it seemed to spark the longest on. As the light fades and the room stops shaking, the captain slowly stood up, a bit startled by whatever just happened.
