"shouldn't she be awake by now?" I heard a voice say.

"i don't know maybe she's tired," another voice replied.

"or you killed her with the wrong amount of the drug," the first voice replied again. I slowly opened my eyes and went to rub them, but was stopped by my hands being tied behind my back.

"holy shit, um go get them," I heard the voice say.

I could hear a door shut and close as I finally opened my eyes fully. there was a boy standing in the corner with his hands in his pockets. I couldn't see his face because of the dim light in the room.

"where the hell am I?" I asked him.

"um I don't know if i'm the best person to tell you that," he replied. I rolled my eyes and started to mess with the ropes that were around my hands.

"you're just going to give yourself rope burn," the boy commented smugly. I was annoyed by him already. I continued to tug and work at the ropes.

"so my guess was right?" he said.

what the hell was this guy talking about?

"and what guess would that be," I asked, annoyed.

"that your stubborn and when someone tells you that you can't do something you continue to do it even if it pushes you to your breaking point," he said, smugness ringing in the tone of his voice. he was right, but I couldn't let him know that.

"you don't know anything about me," I spat back.

"I know that you don't sleep well at night, when you're nervous you fiddle with the ring on your ring finger, you have a younger sister named nina and two parents who are always at work. and what was your cats name again, coco?" I tried to hide my shock. who is this guy? I squinted and tried to make out his face.

"you don't recognize me?" he asked, stepping into the light.

"you're that kid from my biology class, max is your name right?"

he scoffed, "mark."

"huh?"

"my name is mark," he said bluntly and walked out the door.

that guy was creepy. I tried to shake him out of my head as I looked around the room, looking for anything to escape. there was nothing. I kept rubbing at the ropes, which was no doubt rubbing my skin raw but it was my only option. as I continued to rub against the ropes the door opened again. I looked up and saw jaemin and renjun standing there.

"guys what the hell, untie me. I swear to god jaemin if this is one of your stupid pranks you took it too far this time,"

"okay, um ri you need to calm down before we tell you this." renjun said calmly.

"calm down? you try being calm when you're tied up with a rope and some creepy ass kid suddenly knows everything about you and your family and now your two best friends are suddenly telling you to calm down as if this is a daily occurrence!" I yelled.

"that's fair, but" renjun started.

"what do you mean but?! untie me dude this isn't funny,"

"i'm sorry ri, but we aren't allowed to, taeyong hyung doesn't trust you yet," jaemin said.

"taeyong? you've never mentioned a taeyong in all the years we've known eachother," I scoffed.

"he's our leader," renjun explained.

"leader?" I wasn't following.

"it might sound crazy, but he's the leader of our gang," renjun continued.
