[over PA] House fire, 788 Maple Street. Engine 51, truck 81, ambulance 61.
[horns honking, sirens wailing]
"Guys, how do I look?" asked Darden
"As usual," says Matt
"Like the class clown." also says Matt
[chuckles]
"Yo, Severide, how soon till you can take Darden off my hands?" says Matt
[laughs]
"Andy makes squad the day after I'm no longer in charge," says Kelly
[laughter]
[brakes squeal]
[indistinct chatter]
"The attic. My brother lives up there." says the woman who owns the house
"He hasn't come down." says the woman
"That window there?" asked Matt
"Yes, I haven't seen him." says the woman
"Oh, god." also says the woman
"Think there's a guy in the attic," says Matt
"I'll raise the aerial," says Buck
"He could be on the stairs, in the hallway, anywhere," says Kelly
"We'll go in back, work our way up," says Kelly
"Case of beer we get to him first," says Kelly
"Just vent the back," says Matt
"Was Severide always such a cocky prick?" asked Matt
"Only since kindergarten," says Darden
[indistinct chatter]
"This is chief Boden."
"Want an inch and 3/4 on the front," says Boden
"Need two 2 1/2s on the neighbors' houses," says Boden
"I want my entrance through the rear and ground ladders to the roof," says Boden
"Halligan," says Kelly
"Let's go! " says Kelly
"Hey, check over there!" says Kelly
"Severide, do we have a vent?" says Matt
"Darden, wait," says Matt
[glass breaks]
"We're good," says Darden
"Casey, there is no vent," says Kelly
[grunts]
"Darden!" yells Matt
[screams]
[somber music]
One month Later
Buck's Pov
Since that fire a month ago, nothing around the house has been the same. Matt and Kelly are not talking to each other and blame each other for what happened.
Everyone but me, Shay, Dawson are trying to stay out of it but I can't since I'm Kelly's boyfriend and Matt is my Lieutenant.
Another thing that has changed is Kelly is doing drugs for something but he will not tell me the reason. Me and Kel get to the firehouse together in my jeep and I watch as he goes to Shay and says something to her.
