"Caw! A letter from Kanae Kocho!!" Y/n's crow yelled as she flew towards her, she stopped the letter from her claws before flying down onto Y/n's shoulder.
Y/n opened the letter amused. She read it with a smile on her face. "What is it?" Tomioka asked as he walked over and sat next to her on the bench she sat on.
"A letter from the girl I saved, she was thanking me for her training and said she passed her final selection, she asked if I could spar with her" Y/n said.
"She's been growing pretty fast, I wouldn't doubt her becoming a hashira" Y/n added on.
"I've been training someone too" Tomioka said, looking up at the sky. Not a sign of emotion on his face.
"To take my place as the water pillar" he added on. "What, why?!" Y/n asked, raising her voice in shock,
"I don't deserve the title pillar, I'm not the same as you" he added on.
"Hey what's wrong, why'd you stop reading?" Y/n asked, glancing at Tomioka. "This parts empty, she didn't write down what I told her" Tomioka said.
"What can I see?" Y/n asked, Tomioka passed her the book, Y/n read the page and the conversation written was stopped. She not writing what secrets was told to her.
"She didn't write what was told to her, it just skips to her training with that girl she saved, that's so sweet" Y/n said in awe before passing the book back to Tomioka.
'I wonder what he told her' Y/n thought, staring at Tomioka with her head tilted.
"Is there something on your mind?" Kanae asked with her head tilted as she stared at Y/n with a concerned look."Hm? No, why?" Y/n asked, lowering her spear.
"You just seemed distracted? Is it the water pillar, did you guys get into a fight?" Kanae asked, putting her katana in its sheath.
"A fight? No" Y/n answered, 'There is something bothering me' Y/n thought, furrowing her brows as she wanted the time to go faster as she was leaving with Giyu for dinner after her and Kanae's session.
"You two are such a cute couple, when you guys are always in eachothers regions, you two always have missions together and even when you aren't working you're together! It's so sweet!" Kanae said in awe with a closed eyes smile.
"We're not a couple, we're just good friends" Y/n chuckled nervously. "Ooh, Shinobu even thought you two were engaged" Kanae said embarrassed.
