"So pay, you coming to my house?" Aleeyah asked as we made our way out of the school building.
"Sure, we should check on Marl's tho, this morning was kinda hectic for her." I said.
"Cool. We'll stop by now since it's only some blocks away."
I nodded in agreement.
We made our way toward the student lot, passing all of the other students who were standing round.
I was starting to walk ahead of Aleeyah when I heard someone call her name causing her to stop.
"Aye, let me holler at you right fast." Darnell called from across the lot.
I stood waiting for Aleeyah's decision, whether she was gonna go over and ask me to wait like always.
She sighed heavily, "what does he want now.." She groaned rolling her eyes.
I shrugged, still waiting for her to make her decision. I was ready to get to Marl's to see if she was okay.
"This will only take a second, I'm sure he's only gonna ask me about his party again." Aleeyah said signaling for me to walk over with her.
"I'm cool, I'll just wait for you right here." I said slightly leaning my back against the parked car that was behind me.
Nodding, I watched as she walked in Darnell's direction.
While waiting, I decided to go on Instagram and like a couple of pictures or whatever. I never like to stand alone waiting for people, for some odd reason I felt like a loner.
As I was scrolling, liking a couple of pictures I came across one that gained my attention. It was Jamal and a light skinned girl with brown eyes. Jamal held on to her waist while she stood in front of him, you know the bathroom couple selfie.
I wasn't too much bothered by this because Jamal and I were over. But I also knew that I really loved him because my heart still gets this achy feeling whenever I see him with another girl. Just like now.
But I could have sworn that I unfriended him on all social networks'
A sudden loud beeping alarm rang startling me so hard that I dropped my phone. Also, it had gained most of the people in the parking lots attention.
The alarm of the car that I was leaning on was going off.
I went to fetch my phone in hopes that it wasn't broken and suddenly the alarm stopped.
Small laughter could now be heard around the lot and just as I stood up to walk away....
"It's rude to lean on people cars?"
Jordan said pointing his keys toward the green camaro on which I had come to realization that I had been leaning on.
"You didn't have to do that, I could have broken my phone." I said, luckily the outter box played its part.
"Be careful where you rest next time." He said getting into his car and cranking it up.
I stood looking dumb founded, thinking if I should bail out on Leeyah and wait for her at Marlie's or not.
Suddenly, Jordan's window let down.
"You need a ride?" He said.
????
"...uh... N-no I'm waiting for Aleeyah." I say looking over to see if she was done talking or not but I didn't see her.
"Aite cool." He say letting the window up and soon the music began blasting. He proceeded to back out of the lot and zoomed away.
I pulled up the dial pad on my phone to call Aleeyah. She answered on the third ring.
"Where are you?" I questioned.
"Uh, sorry Pay, you'll never guess what's happening...." She said.
"What?" I questioned curiously.
"I'll tell you later. See ya at Marl's." She said and then ended the call.
I rolled my eyes to myself before proceeding to walk out of the lot and in the direction of Marley's house.
It was a 15 minute walk so within seven minutes, I stopped at the corner store to buy some of my favorite life savers gummies and also some for Mickey and Marl's.
After leaving the store I made it to Marley's in no time.
I knocked and waited for someone to answer.
Soon, Marley answered and the look on her face was dreadful and pure pain!
Before I could even question what was wrong with her, she cried out...
"They're gonna take Mickey away from me Payzlie."
She fell in my arms
