"It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not."

Tatum's pov

What in the double h hockey stick just happened? Am I dreaming, or did that just happen? Of course, it happened, Tatum, but why would that oaf text me?

Smiling idiotically, I texted him back, saying "Thank you for everything and goodnight."

..................................................................................................

As the next few days rolled around, I couldn't shake off the feeling I get when I think about Andrew. The text he sent me a few days ago put me on edge, and I know it shouldn't, but it did.  I don't want to put much thought into it, but I can't fall for Andrew even if I wanted to. I am not saying I have had any regrets about any past relationships, and it just wasn't for me.

Every relationship I have had taught me lessons that could help me throughout life, not just by being with someone. However, I am scared to fall in love, and that's part of why I don't want to fall for Andrew.

Don't get me wrong; I don't fear falling in love; I worry that the amount of love and effort I put into that one specific person, they might not love me the same way I love them. I know it's dumb to think that, but I have severe commitment issues. It's hard for me to fully put my all into someone when in the end, they might not catch me before I hit my breaking point.

I really can't go through that shit again.

I was bored that night, so I thought, why not have our annual drinking games. We have them whenever someone ever feels like they need to get stuff off their chest, or we need to have fun. But lately, everyone has been antsy and snapping a lot at each other.

I knocked on Emma's room and heard a faint come in. When I opened the door, I saw Ryan sitting on her bed with Emma on her floor, looking like a fish out of water.

"what do you guys think of having our annual drinking game?" I said with buff. Plopping myself next to my twin as I looked at her sheepishly. She looked at me, then back at Ryan, who wore a mischievous grin. "I am all for it but do you think the girls would want to?" she asked with a sigh. "Even though they might not want to, we aren't going to give them much of a choice, alright?" I said with a smile. I looked at Ryan knowingly; he just looked at me and sighed. "I'll be back; I am going to buy the booze," he said, kissing Emma on the head. I swear if Ryan doesn't marry my sister, I will personally chop his balls off. They are my OTP... But since neither of us is legally the age to buy drinks, we make Ryan get them because, well, he's 21, and he loves to do our drinking games with us.

Emma and I soon set out to the living room to get everything ready for our night. We were putting out extra throw pillows and blankets on the floor. While Emma was prepping the living room, I got the food prepared. A few minutes later, we heard the door opening to see Ryan and a bunch of booze in hand. I grabbed the drinks from him and said thank you, I put the drinks on our table and started separating the hard stuff from the easy stuff.

"Alright, ladies, get your asses out of bed because it's time for our annual night," Emma yelled. The only responses we got were fuck you or jump off a cliff. Damn, who pissed in their cheerios. Eventually, the two girls came out of their rooms and sat on the couch, and snuggled in blankets glaring at us.

To break some of the tension, Ryan asked us, "Yea, if you don't mind, is it ok if I bring some buddies to join this?" We all looked at each other, silently communicating, thinking the same thing. "Are they rude? Do we know them? How come we haven't met them, wait? How come I haven't met them?" Emma rambled out all at once. As Ryan was about to respond, there was a knock at the door. We all looked at Ryan, and he walked to the door. The nerve of that boy, ugh. He opened the door, revealing you'll never believe—Andrew Williams, Alexander Davis, and finally Liam Smith.

One thing is for sure Alexander and Amelia have had this ongoing rivalry ever since freshman year of high school. Still, he was just two grades above her, and all of them were two grades above us. While those two were off glaring at each other. But what caught my eye was Liam looking at Olivia with love and heartbreak in his eyes. Olivia was looking anywhere but him. That broke my heart to see.

I locked eyes with Andrew, and I just got mesmerized by his hazelnut eyes. I just got lost in them. Before I got too lost in them, I looked away, much to my dismay. "Ok, everyone, let's move to the floor and put the booze in the middle of our circle," I said while heading over to our living room floor. Everyone followed suit and did what was instructed.

After many drinking games and just having fun getting used to everyone's company, here comes the part the girls, Ryan, and I were dreading. "Guys, listen up, we are going to do a little game where we confess things that we need to get off our chest; once we do that, we take a shot. However, if it's directed to a person, that said person can't retaliate by saying something back." Emma said with a bit of a slur.

"I wish Tatum would stop using my body wash," Olivia said with a glare; she took a shot. What that isn't me, glaring at Olivia.

"Ryan and Emma always do the deed at the wrong time when I come home," I said with a huff, taking the shot. Everyone looked at me and then agreed, making Emma and Ryan blush. Karma is a bitch.

"I want to strangle Liam whenever he cheats at Warzone," Alex said with a glare looking at Liam as he took a shot.

"I use Olivia's body wash whenever I come over," said Ryan with a sheepish grin; he takes a shot. "What I love the smell, and Emma sure likes the smell," Ryan said as he gave Emma his famous smirk. Olivia looks like she wants to throttle him. Emma and Olivia share a bathroom to clear up any confusion while Amelia and I share one.

"I screwed up with the person I love, and I am an ass doing that to her," Liam says with a frown as he takes a shot. After hearing, Liam saying that, Olivia looked up at him with a sad frown. Ok weird.

After a few more confessions, mostly dumb ones, here's where everything took a turn."I am a virgin, and everyone is looking at me for a quick fuck." I said with a slur, and all the boys looked at me, minus Ryan. What have they never seen a virgin before? Damn. They were once virgins too.

"I got raped last summer," Olivia said without thinking it. She took a shot. Drunk confessions, everybody. All the girls and Ryan knew what happened because we were there. I saw her go missing and everything; it scared the living daylights out of me. One minute I saw her getting a drink, then the next. I saw her gone. Amelia was the one who found her unconscious. We couldn't find who did it because they left as soon as they got through with Olivia. We were all livid, but we couldn't show it in front of Olivia.

As shock went through my body as I stared at Olivia, she looked at the ground, trying to hold back her tears. "Liv, you don't have to explain yourself if you don't want to," Amelia said as she wrapped her arms around her. Emma and I locked eyes and got up to hug Olivia; Ryan followed suit. I know the three boys were confused, but it wasn't our story to tell; it was Olivias.

Guys be prepared for the next chapter, you will see a little insight on what happened to Olivia and possibly what happened with her and Liam.
